Bears vs. Packers After the Game

My first thought was to rip on Moose, but everybody else took care of that in the comments section.  How many drops did he have?  3?

How about the awful tackling by our defense?  You might want to spend some time on that in practice.

How about that game by Lance Briggs?

Welcome to the #2 team in the NFC.

Thanks to Baltimore for finding an offense, and taking out Minnesota, so next weeks game means nothing.  I imagine we can rest some starters next week.  Grossman should get some reps; eventhough, he looked pretty good last night.

What are you takes?

Rest, rest and more rest...
A great time to grab a bye and not have to play for all the marbles next week. The Bears can rest anyone and everyone with any nagging injuries; and if they don't, they're foolish.
I'd give a few series to Rex, and then let Kyle play ball, maybe treat the game like a preseason game only let him air it out bigtime.
No Mike Brown, no Kruentz, no impact starter with any significant or insignificant injury should see time on the field. Two straight weeks to heal is a godsend for us.
I can't see the Vikes being cheap about it, but this is a division rival and you never know how they will take to being kicked out of the playoffs. They may decide to play with the sole purpose of ripping someone's head off.
So, Lovie, rest your troops, please. Heck, maybe even give Jeff Blake a chance to earn some incentive money.

before the servers take another dump...
  1. want to see lots of handoffs from orton to benson.
  2. you are completely correct about lousy tackling; i hope rivera makes the defense throw away all the newspapers they have been reading and watch game tapes 50 times a day for 2 1.2 weeks.
  3. the bears need to petition the league to have the tight end position declared illegal; not fair for other clubs to have a weapon the bears don't, since our tight ends are worthless.

Last and next game
Other than Moose's drops, the biggest thing that Rex needs to work on next week is looking off his receivers.  If we play a team with an opportunistic secondary, it'll be a long day.

I also agree with what people above me have said.  Give Benson a lot of carries, let Kyle throw the ball a lot.

I haven't heard
any official word yet.  I will check tomorrow, but we might have to wait for them to release the injury report.
