Getting Whiplash

Let me see if I have this straight.

Begining of the year we were a darkhorse for the playoffs.

Rex goes down, we are the worse team in football.

Orton plays well as does defense and we are back to darkhorse playoff team.

Orton plays a little better and defense starts to dominate and we are a sexy pick.

Orton doesn't play so well, but we go on a 8 game win streak and we are there becuase of an easy schedule.

We loose to Pittsburgh due to an off day and all of the sudden with a few games left we are not going to make the playoffs.

Grossman comes in and now we are a cool pick to make the Super Bowl.

Do I have that right?

Has anybody checked the shocks on our bandwagon?

itd be a shame..
if these bandwagon jumpers hurt their ankles jumping back on and off. For a really good laugh, track the way Mariotti flip-flops on Chicago teams. Truly funny stuff.
Say it with me now "The first place Chicago Bears." Now doesn't that just make you feel warm all over.

A guy at
the Tribune came out and admitted he didn't think the White Sox wouldn't be good this year and called out Mariotti for not doing the same, so he pulled out all of Mariotti's old articles and showed how much he jumped sides.

its one thing to be wrong...
but another to claim you were right, when you weren't.

I started out this season saying that we would be 8 - 8 or 9 - 7 and would compete for a WILD CARD.  Then, after we were in first place at 1 and 1 AND we has just murdered the Lions and AND the Vikes and GB were 0 - 2, I said we would win the division with and 8 - 8 record.

I saw this as a growing year were we learned to win again, much like the Bengals did last year then come out next year like gang-busters.

I'm glad I was wrong.

When the schudule came out
we all made our predictions on their season record. Rex goes down and we adjust our predictions accordingly. I thought that was the last of Rex as a Bear. Nobody saw this comming, I think we are all happy we were wrong.

Such is life
For a team that hasn't been in the playoffs in awhile.  When we win, we're the best.  If we lose a game, we're terrible.  Confidence in the media takes more than a season to build up.  Right now, I'm happy that people underrate us.
