vs.
Minnesota Vikings (8-7)

Not much reason to do think too much into this one. It would only be smart for Lovie to only play the starters 2 series, enough so they aren't going into their first playoff game with no game time in 2 weeks. It still would be nice to come out with a win, so we don't have to wait the 2 weeks with a loss sitting there.

statment and question...

a win would be nice. a loss because minnesota all of a sudden exposed some fundamental weaknesses while the bears played their first teamers all game would be very bad. a loss because the bears played ultra ultra cautious with both the players and the playbook would be meaningless.

question- working from the premise that the starters (esp. rex and jones) should see some game time, is it better to put them on the field immediately, or hold them out until the 2nd quarter? (lulling the vikes into a lower leel of play in the meantime)?

go from the start

In the second half, players will start to get awnry. they have been fighting and tackling all day, I thimk somebody would be more likely hurt due to a nonaccidental means later in the game.
