Not Looking Good for Manning Jr.

As Mike Terico touched upon (maybe in too much detail last night) Ricky Manning Jr. is going before the league this week to see what punishment (if any) the league should hand out for his assault charges.  The league gave out two pretty heavy suspensions today, with Koren Robinson suspended for a year for substance abuse, and Shaun Rodgers of the Lions suspend for four games for shootin up some 'roids, the new comish is showing he has an iron hand so I'm thinkin we will be missin Manning for a couple. Thoughts? http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2628459

Robinson was a multiple offender and will do hard time.  The drug policy is an auto suspension.

Yea...what he said
I hate agreeing with Chad! :) The substance abuse policy is separate from what Manning Jr. will be facing. The substance abuse policy is very strict and very structured. But I would expect a suspension for Manning Jr, probably 1-2 games.

Unless its already been ruled on...
I see him getting the punishment you outlined then taking them without appeal and sitting out against San Fran and Miami.  Considering his injury, he has time to heal and be ready for the hard part of the schedule.

Agreed
The suspension could coordinate really nicely with his injury, as long as he is back for The Road Trip.

Can we get a copyright or something on that?

Sweet!
I hereby state that those three weeks shall now be called, "The Road Trip."

Now I just need to work on "Free Cedric" slogan.

Someone refresh my memory
cause I tend to ignore these things, but is Manning going on trial? I remember him getting arrested and all for picking on the computer geek, but how much farther did it go beyond that?
