Around SBN: Dissecting Nick Diaz's Positive Drug Test

Mark Bradley

What does everyone think of Bradley's return?  My gold standard of him is the famous Detroit game where he was 5 for 85 before halftime.  For his first game back I think 4 for 79 with a Touchdown is pretty outstanding.  Of course the TD was a quasi-blown coverage - he would have been open anyway.  What do you all expect out of Bradley in the next few weeks?

We can't expect magic yet
he is still getting back into it.  In a few weeks Berrian will be ready to play, so that will take some of his time away.

WR's of the future
What's Muhammed got left with the Bears? Two years?

Hopefully (and with the Bears track record, if they're good enough, I don't see the problem), we'll have a good young core of Bradley, Berrian, Davis and some rookie/cheap free agent for the next four-seven years.

Oh, about the next two weeks, I agree with WCG. Kind of.

I see Mark beating out Justin Gage for the fourth spot. Moose is obviously No. 1. Berrian is "proven" this year for the No. 2 when he's back healthy-he's the deep threat. With Berrian the fast guy and Moose the "possession" guy, they'll need someone with quickness to beat the linebackers in the intermediate routes. From what I've read, Bradley has his overall speed, but still isn't quite as explosive.

Not that I don't see Bradley doing well and getting good playing time. I just think the Bears have too much of a set rotation (with guys filling roles perfectly) to be higher than a four (or 3b) this year.

Beating out Gage
Bradley is clearly better than Gage, and he also has the ability to stretch the field in a similar way to Berrian.

But I agree that there is little doubt that he is #4 right now.  Berrian and Moose are 1 and 1a.  Bradley is not going to be taking playing time away from either of those two if they are healthy.  Davis gets open and makes plays. That is exactly what you want in a #3.  But I like what we could have on the field in a 4 receiver set.

bradley
last year before he got hurt he impressed me. If he can stay healthy I think he will really be able to help this team. For teh time being, simply having his speed out there helps, because he can be that guy that stretches the field while Berrian's ribs are healing.
first the Rush...now the Bears.

Looked great...
I think he looked great for his first game back.  And on that touchdown it was not blown coverage, he simply toasted the CB.

Say what?
Madison pulled a hammy on the play....

He beat him, but he wouldn't have been that open and Grossman wouldn't have been allowed to just lob it in like he did.

Whachu talkin' about?
I may be wrong but I thought that Bradley beat Corey Webster on that play but perhaps I am mistaken.  Also, we'll see how pulled that hammy is come Sunday.  When I used to get beat on a play real bad, I'd always limp off the field holding my leg, too.

It was Madison
Rob is right about it being Madison, but Bradley had him beat before he pulled up.

I think he kinda' pulled a Zambrano.  Once you get beat (or pitch poorly) pull up lame with an injury.

He beat him
and then he pulled up lame but I believe Madison has had recent other issues with his hammy before that play, so I'm not sure he was faking it.
