BEARS/LIONS- Game Thread

Bears are rolling into a the playoffs behind a new and improved Rex Grossman.  Unless Coach Smith starts resting players this should be a walk.

What is the line on how close Williams will think the Lions were to 40 points?

It's a good thing
Lions receivers can't hold onto the ball, cuz they've been kinda open.

Hester...
Not doing Kickoff Returns today? Slept through the first half and noticed it said Rashied Davis fielded the only Kickoff.

Hester
took some kickoffs in the first half. Don't know when they switched or why. Just might be getting Davis some reps.

Looks like everybody is having
a decent game.  Not that that is all that impressive against this team.

Everyone except...
the defensive backs. Vasher looks like he's outta game shape.

The only reason we won this game today...
is Griese coming in to the game.

Are you serious?
Did you watch the game?

Grossman played quite well.  The only reason Griese came in was to get him some reps.  He didn't exactly do anything exciting and most definitely did not do anything that Rex had not been doing all game.

Of course I'm serious...
I don't bother posting frivilous posts.  Did you see the game?  Grossman missed several passes including a tremendously wide open Muhammad that would have gone for a touchdown. At the time Grossman was taken out, he was pretty much ineffective.  We were behind at that point, and it didn't look like Grossman would get us back in front. Everybody where I was at watching the game was calling for Griese to come in.

Grossman didn't play badly, but he didn't play well enough for us to win with the defense giving up 3 TDs.

You have to be kidding me...
So it is Grossman's fault that the defense gave up three touchdowns?

Yes, Grossman missed Moose - yet Griese probably could not have thrown the ball that far.

Grossman played well.  He wasn't perfect (he rarely will be), but he was more than good enough to win.

haha
3 FG's in the 4th quarter, Griese is our savior!!

We would have won that game either way....

Next week's game
actually has some drama attached to it as the Packers still have a chance to make the playoffs with a win.

So maybe the Bears can send Favre into retirement by beating the Packers. Whatever his deal is, I like that the Bears will be playing a team that isn't going thru the motions (some of the Lions certainly were.)
