Coach Lovie Smith has found his new defensive backs coach.

Bears coach Lovie Smith is expected to hire Steven Wilks as the team's new secondary coach.
Wilks, the defensive backs coach at the University of Washington, interviewed for the job Saturday, and according to a source, he was chosen over former Pro Bowl cornerback Gill Byrd, most recently an assistant with the St. Louis Rams.
