After some talk that TE John Gilmore might be headed out of Chicago, he has instead signed on for another tour.
"I'm pretty pumped up about it," Gilmore said about remaining with the Bears. "This is where I wanted to be. I'm pretty sure they knew that and obviously they wanted me here, so it's a good feeling to be back with the team and I'm ready to go to work."
Gilmore made a free-agent visit to Oakland on Wednesday and was offered a contract by the Raiders. But he flew to Chicago late Thursday and agreed to terms with the Bears.
Terms of the deal are undiclosed.
