The renovation of Solider Field was a monster of story to read.  Between fights with veterans organizations for it being a national landmark to naming rights, it was a minor miracle.  The resulting stadium that many have nicknamed "The Eyesore of Lake Shore" has taken more than one hit for its "odd" design.  

The stadium took ints most recent hit last Friday as the national landmark tag has been stripped from Soldier Field.

The deal to renovate the old stadium was allowed when it was promised that Soldier Field would remain Soldier Field.  The new design is being described as the Starship Enterprise sitting on top of columnades.
