To continue the saga of Nathan Vashar, salary wise he is the 131st highest paid player at his position. Based on last season he more than deserves an increase on pay. GM Angelo has a reputation of taking care of his young guys, but not with 2 years left on their contract.
Vashar's agent has sent a proposal to add 1 year to the current 2. The overall deal would move Vashar to the 44th highest paid player at his position.
I obviously don't know the numbers, but I can't imagine upping Vashar to that salary is that big of deal. It seems like a fair trade. He gets a little more, we get an extra year with him, before we need to work out a long term contract.
