Shaun Alexander broke his foot

Not much else to say.  Out 3+ weeks.   My blog.  Tacoma News Tribune.

Star-divide

Alexander has had soreness and a bone bruise in his left foot since the season opener at Detroit. Coach Mike Holmgren said Monday that Alexander cracked a bone sometime during Sunday's 42-30 win over the New York Giants. Holmgren said the bruise in Alexander's foot led to the crack and Alexander was walking around team headquarters Monday on crutches.

This changes this weekend's game for sure.  Hasselbeck is going to have a lot of throwing to do.  Looks like it's time for the secondary and D-line to kick it up a notch.

Just noticed it myself
Don't get cocky Bears, but damn the Madden curse is brutal.

If I was an NFL'er I'd run far away if they ever asked me.

Plus our fine commish has Alexander and I'm playing him this week. Good week for me. :)

actually, im hoping this doesnt hurt the bears
im trying to remember the last time a running back took over a game against the bears last year.  really, the only time it happened was in that snowy sleeler game when bettis ran us over.  perfect conditions for him and horrible coniditions for a quick pursuit defense.  i really think we could have kept alexander under wraps and forced seatle out of their game plan a little.  now they get a young healthy back in and will throw the ball a lot more to a lot of above avg. receivers.  i do think our secondary will be fine, but while i was excited at first, this news just makes me even more cautious for sunday

ha
i was mulling over this same thing this morning, I would rather have a hurt alexander than a strong second tier guy, especially considering how the hurt alexander was playing.  Defense better be ready.

Short Passing Game
I think Seattle will throw a lot of screens & run a lot of draw/misdirection from spread formations.  They have to do something to create room for the 3rd down type back Morris

I think Seattle
will get destroyed. They didn't win any big games on the road last year and they look like a worse team this year.

Alexander may play
"Mike Sando, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports Seattle Seahawks RB Shaun Alexander (foot) may be able to play during Week 4 after all. He is crediting the power of prayer for possibly healing the cracked bone in his left foot. His left foot stopped hurting Tuesday, Sept. 26, and Alexander plans to undergo additional tests Wednesday, Sept. 27. An MRI earlier in the week showed a small crack; if that has cleared up, it's conceivable he could play this week."

I got this from the kffl.com fantasy football news updates.  Interesting!?!
