SAINTS/BEARS- Game Thread

Here it is, the game we have been waiting for all year.  This is how football was meant to be.  The two best teams in the conference enter and one will leave with the right to play in the Super Bowl.

They are calling for the possibility of 4 inches of snow, that probably helps us more than them.

It seems the Bears have to not only beat the Saints, but all of America who seem desperate to have this perfect story that they will be quickly tired of with a two week break before the Super Bowl, but all it is is two teams who are not all that different playing ball for 60 minutes.  Good luck to both teams and GO BEARS!

Darren Sharper
Was on the sidelines and reported that.  You know damn well that he wants us to lose so bad.

Early
Early protection issues for New Orleans.

Smart move by Ron Rivera to bring the heat on Brees; he's going to have to start speeding everything up, or the Saints will have to shift into more max protect formations. Both will slow down what they like to do.

BEARS SUCK!
You guys beat my team, now you are going to LOSE!

Great first half
Should be closer to 30-7, but we have a more than a TD lead.  We can work with that.  Let our defense forget about that last drive and get back to work.

Good point, but I'm still ready to puke ...
D played great until that last drive.  And I'm a little pissed that we hung it up with 40 sec and 2 TOs, although we've done that all year.

Ron Turner's playcalling is either perfect or moronic.  There is no in between at this point.

Congratulations
Vasher INT should seal the deal if the Benson TD hadn't already... Nice to see two former Longhorns help drive the Bear victory.

Congrats to all you Bears fans!

Enjoy Miami!

Go away
we won.  be beat the seahawks twice.

give it a rest.

If Hasslbeck was healthy in that last game
the Bears would be sitting on the couch eating hot dogs while the Seahawks were on a plane to Miami right now.

Sure...
Whatever loser.  We won and you didn't.   Get over it and go away.

Prepare for disappointment?
Well, if I must, I'll ask you for advice. you seem to always be dissappointed... Pittsburgh, Bears,
Well, offer your advice to the colts, they'll need it more than we will

Bears don't deserve to win
because the ChiSox just won the World Series. It's not far that you have a good team in all three major sports.

Go away.
I don't know what your problem is.

by Chad @ Windy City Gridiron on Jan 21, 2007 8:56 PM CST up reply actions

My problem is
just that I won't like the Bears again until the Seahawks beat them in the playoffs. Until then I'm going to make fun of this team.

by Coach Owens @ Windy City Gridiron on Jan 21, 2007 9:02 PM CST up reply actions

Well...
if we are playing the "IF" game...

If Harris were healthy, Hasselbeck would have been on his back even more.

If Mike Brown were healthy, the Hawks would have been shut out.

by lopey986 on Jan 21, 2007 9:17 PM CST up reply actions

OK lets play the IF game.
IF Craig Terril was healthy Gould wouldn't of kicked one field goal.

IF Marcus Trufant was healthy Grossman would have a passer rating 1/10th of what he had.

by Coach Owens @ Windy City Gridiron on Jan 21, 2007 9:28 PM CST up reply actions

Retard
At full strength on both sides, there is no way the hawks can stay on the field with the bears.

by Chad @ Windy City Gridiron on Jan 21, 2007 9:57 PM CST up reply actions

I hate you guys,
Thanks for being nice to an fan of another team.
