Early Three Round Mock Draft?

Way too early to speculate, since we still have half a season to play, but lets do it anyways.

Draft Tek has a three round mock draft up that changes every time the positions change.  In this latest one the Bears are picking in the 10 spot and not surprisingly it has them taking a QB.  Here is what it looks like:

Round 1, Pick 10 - Andre Woodson, QB, Kentucky

Round 2, Pick 41 - Michael Hart, RB, Michigan

Round 3, Pick 73 - Dorien Bryant, WR, Purdue

Round 3, Pick 86 - Justin King, CB, Penn State

Supposing that is how things unfolded, what do you think about it?

Hart is the last thing we need
Greise is just the latest Michigan grad to fail in Chicago.  I'd prefer no more, thank you.

My Hart isn't in it
After all, Big Ten running backs have worked out well up to now, right?

Or.  Not.

Can someone name the last real good running back out of the Big Ten?  All I can keep thinking of is Curtis Enis, A-Train, Darnell Autrey...

M - GO BLOW!

A-Train did NOT blow.
Sorry. That's just wrong. He wasn't the answer to anything, but he was anything from bad. As a second-rounder, he did blow. Hell, they could have kept him, sign T-Jones, and be just fine right now.

four-year career with Chicago, where he left as the Bears' fifth-leading all-time rusher with 3,332 yards on 858 carries...he accumulated 10 career 100-yard games with Chicago and posted two 1,000 yard rushing seasons...the former NFL Rookie of the Year began his professional career with an NFL record 428 consecutive touches (393 carries, 35 receptions) without a fumble.

no way on hart
would like to see some o line as well.

by mike b on Nov 9, 2007 2:43 PM CST reply actions

o line?
I sure hope that the Bears do not go through the first four rounds without picking an offensive line.

O-line is THE biggest need on the Bears right now - probably more so than QB.

i think
there may be a couple of FA OL's out there next year.  Good ones too.

I read somewhere that Angelo prefers OL
via free agency. He feels it takes 3 to 4 years to develop an offensive lineman and he would prefer someone else paying for their development and then signing a free agent who already knows how to play in the NFL.

garza
was a very good signing.

The Football Outsiders folks say...
veteran free agents fix a line much faster than drafting rookies. So, assuming this defense (hopefully) can get back to ready to win now, that might be the way to go.

The problem
with getting O-Line players from free agency for next year is that everybody's cap is a lot higher, so the market will probably be thin.  That being said, we need some major help there.

I'm a Hart fan, but don't know if he's the answer we're looking for.
