Pro Bowl Team Announced

The 2007 Pro-Bowlers have been announced and the Bears have 4 players on the squad.

Devin Hester and Brendon Ayanbadejo both make it as starters.

Tommie Harris and Lance Briggs make it in as reserves.

Of course, people will pull out and names will move around, so they may end up with more or less.  I think if any defensive ends pull out Wale would have to be in the conversation.

The biggest surprise though is that no player from the Jacksonville Jaquars made the list.

I'd like to go on record again...
...as admitting how completely and utterly wrong I was about Jason Witten during the pre-season. I know it's a shock to you guys since no one admits to being wrong, but man, I don't think one can get much wrongererer than that.

well
as modern day poet and bard Kanye says, "you know you gotta be right now".  Right?

Kanye?????????????
Recalls for me what another poet and bard once said, "WHAT THE MOTHER FUCK???"

I remember arguing with you about that!
Honestly, I just couldn't remember if that argument was on this site or another.  Even thoug I drafte Witten and A. Peterson (vikings)...I still got beat in my FF league.

Oddly...
...my friend has A-Pete and my 178th cousin has Witten, and they're in the finals.

snubs...
first snub I notice:

Mario Williams

Williams?
Doesn't he lead the AFC in sacks?

by Chad @ Windy City Gridiron on Dec 18, 2007 7:14 PM CST up reply actions

yes
1st in the AFC.

2nd in the NFL.

Meh...
I'd rather have Reggie Bush

How the hell
Does this work?  I swear I saw something a few weeks ago that had like 6 Bears leading their respective positions.

Not that they deserve it, but still.

isn't it
1/3 fan vote, 1/3 player vote, 1/3 coaches vote?

Maybe you just saw the fan vote...

Pro Bowl
There are snubs every year.  Mario Williams, Fred Taylor to name a few.  I don't see how Polamalu and Merriman made it but whatever.

I was going to say that it's a popularity contest.  It always seems to be.

Tommie Harris?
He has not done anything since very early in the season.

I think Rob was kidding ...
especially based on the other names in his post (ie, esp. Archuleta!)

I wasn't...
I was kidding about the other names but Tommie Harris didn't seem to do much this season other than hobble around.

Alex Brown and Wale had better years...

Possibly
but I have a hard time coming to terms with being called crazy by the person who has a shrine to Rex Grossman in their bedroom.

brown
should be starting. i think anderson's value comes from coming in to rush like he did last year.
