what a joke - fox training camp power rankings

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7072680

if you haven't seen it, take a moment and stop by FoxSports and check out Peter Schrager's new power rankings, where he ranks the beloved #7.

i am not going to go over the list, but Ill just say that he's nuts.  I am not saying that the bears should be top 3, but the fact that they are out of the top 5 is crazy.  sure NO improved a little, and maybe with the loss of jones there is a question-mark at the RB position, but we did beat them by 4 touchdowns, without mike brown and tommie harris.  last I checked, the Saints were still a dome team and it gets very cold in december in chicago.

heres hoping the next time someone ranks the teams they actually GO to some the camps instead of just reading the transaction wire.

wow
That guy is a freakin' idiot.  Jay Cutler is his sleeper pick for MVP?

I also love the brief mention of San Diego's coaching change but the catastrophe of losing 5 assistant coaches on the Bears will be their undoing.

What a buffoon.

Honestly, after reading through the Colts description I don't know how we're not number 1, and if you give it to them for being the champ, surely we're number 2.

saw the same thing
the coaches argument is hilarious.  Babich was in our system and what the heir apparent had Rivera gotten another job.  Always heard he was a better fit for how lovie likes to play,  since rivera came from the andy reid school of blitzing.

and hands down lovie is the most important coach on the team.  he stayed.  so did turner.  i'll take that over norv turner any day.

Even more wow
Basically, he's said that the Bears are only better than the last AFC team to get into the playoffs.

While the AFC may be a better conference, that implication is purely absurd.

Re: training camp power rankings
Not only that, last seen should factor in very minimally.  The fact that "training camp power rankings" is attached to the story seems to have no significance.  There is virtually no reporting from camp.  No buzz from local reporters.  It's void of substance it claims to address.  People are mailing this shit in.

I think the NFC is going to have some pretty good years here in the near future.  The Bears and NO are going to have some good playoff games in the next few years.  Hopefully we come out on top...

Re: last season
Not quite sure how "season" became "seen", but whatever...last SEASON should factor in very minimally..."

It's Fox?????
Apparently, saying outrageously ridiculous thing to get "ratings" isn't just for Fox News.

let them..
think what they will bears do the talkin' on the field. being "ranked" #1 is too much responibility. last time i checked, no two afc teams played in superbowl at the same time. it would be nice to see an afc and nfc list rather than afc taking top 4 or 5 all the time.

Keep piling on the Bears
it worked well for us last year. The team probably plays better with a chip on his shoulder anyway.

Of course the Bears
are in the top 3 teams in the League, there isn't an NFC team withing 9 points of them right now and they are on par with the San Diegos, New Englands', and Indianapolises.  We are going to win that game in San Diego and these morons are going to opine on how "surprising" the Bears are this year!

beat SD
I've been trying to figure out what kinds of mental gymnastics the haters will try to come up with when the Bears beat the Chargers. Prolly some variant of the "it's opening weekend, surprises happen" excuse. Though if the Bears lose, even by a slim margin, it will be incontrovertible proof that the Bears are teh suxxorz and will be in the running for the #1 pick next spring, and that San Antonio Santos fans can reserve their tickets to Arizona.
