We traded Harris???

Chris Harris that is. :)

Not sure what could have prompted that. Especially with Mike Brown's injury history. Oh well, I'm sure the brain trust knows what they're doing. Angelo has done a fantastic job thus far.

Perhaps they really like their rookies they have on the roster I've never heard of. I know I've heard Payne has been playing pretty well. But, we'll see why soon enough.

wow

manning is faster than harris but harris hits harder. i was startled by this move but such is life in the nfl. he has a better chance to play more in carolina.

The Bears just traded Harris for Darwin Walker and an almost definite improvement in next year's draft. (not exactly, I know, but still).

Harris was 4th on the safety depth chart

behind Brown, Archuleta, and Manning. The big thing you want out of your 4th safety is to be a good special teamer and acoording to Jeff Dickerson, the Bears Beat Guy for ESPN 1000, Payne and McGowan waere outplaying Harris so far in camp. Also Harris seemed lost in pass protection and safties in the Cover 2 have that as their big responbility.
