Around SBN: Dissecting Nick Diaz's Positive Drug Test

Lance Briggs Gets Cited

Not much if anything is going to come from Lance Briggs crashing his car into a gaurd rail at 3 AM yesterday morning.

Briggs met with the police and was cited for for failure to give immediate notice of an accident and improper lane usage.

Nothing more is likely to come of it.  Coach Smith has already stated that not suspensions or fines will be incurred.

Personally, I think the Bears now need to put something into their player's contracts that state they cannot operate motor vehicles between the hours of 1 AM and 4 AM.  That 3 o'clock hour seems to be a killer for the Bears.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
After the way Briggs horribly mishandled his contract dispute, no one is going to accuse this man of great judgement. However, he is still one hell of a linebacker, and I'm glad he will be playing for us this season.
