BEARS Defensive Stats

It is really hard to judge the defenses performance.  True they held the Cowboys to 3 points in the first half and true they lost 4 starters for either the game or for series on the other hand they were missing tackles all over the place and they were a split second late in getting to Romo all night.

I will say overall I am happy with the scheme the Bears are using. I like seeing them getting after the QB. Seeing Urlacher with 3 sacks already this season is good. Of course, they don't seem to be doing much to disguise the blitz. At least they are being aggressive in getting after the QB.

They do need to address the middle of the field. They are getting gashed there. Gates, TO and I dare say Gonzo could have done more with a better QB. We have to find away to control the middle of the field.

Didn't realize he had so many tackles once he came in, he looked kind of slow out there but i was probably just pissy and saying everyone sucks.

Not totally, but
he did whiff on a number of arm tackles.  It was like he was in such a hurry to get to the runner that when they made the move he was nowhere in position to make the stop.

Kind of
He missed a couple tackles but was playing all over the place otherwise.  In the second half the entire defense just sputtered out due to being on the field so long and losing so many other players.  When Briggs went out I think Urlacher overcompensated.

That stat breakdown
would look horrible if there was a column for missed tackles. Way too many last night. Practice with the pads Lovie. And tell Archuleta to wrap up.
