NFL Network: Griese to Start

Via Rotoworld (and Rob G, at TCR):

Adam Schefter of the NFL Network reports that Brian Griese will start for the Bears in Week 4 at the Lions.

Lovie Smith couldn't sell out the rest of his team any longer.

I will say that I am somewhat surprised at this.

With that said, lets go Griese.  Show us you deserve it.

And good luck with that offensive line!

Everybody but the Bears
They are supposed to announce it on Wednesday.  We will just wait until they make it official.

Well if...
The line cant block, the backs cant get more than 3.5 yards a carry, the recievers cant catch passes right to them the QB wont matter. I also hope all those people who want to see this know that Griese is as color blind as Rex, He has put up seasons of 12,14, 15, 16, and 19 picks before.

my bad
he doesnt have a 16 pick season, still those numbers are alarming. Angelo blew it by not going after Leftwich.

Leftwich?
Really? He cannot stay healthy. We suffered through that for 3 years with Rex, why bring in a guy who has been injured more often than not.

If you really want to go back to when they blew it, that was when Brees was a free agent.

In addition...
...if Rex looks immobile, what would one think of Leftwich and Carr and Green (the other QB's available). Garcia may have been alright, though.
