Coaching

I just want to know why we don't put any pressure on Lovie or Turner. One of them have to be blamed for this beyond predictable offense. Not to mention the only time we can blitz is in game that don't matter; Same with the play calling. I would love to get rid of both of these diseases. For those of you that think Lovie took us to the Super Bowl, you're wrong, we hasd 47 takeaways that year, we should have won many games. If it was not for home field advantage we would have never gotten to the SB. Can I get a coach that knows to to motivate our players instead of looking like a dumb lost mut on the sidelines. PLEASE FIRE LOVIE!!!

I know you did not
just say we don't put any pressure on Turner.  He has taken the brunt of it around here.

We went the SB with
Lovie last year, I think he has earned a little more time before we oust him.

Considering Lovie
makes a point to practice stripping the ball in practice and creating turnovers (and no, it's not an exact science), I think those 47 turnovers had something to do with him.

And is there something wrong with having home field advantage? Teams work for it, for a reason....

Lovie
Another defensive minded head coach in Chicago, come on guys, I can only deal with run, run, pass for so long. I feel that Rivera had this defense running well and Lovie took it over. I just don't see anything special that Lovie brings to the table, I'm not talking this last season only, I blame that on injuries, cockiness, and coaching. I have never been a fan of his, I would like to see some type of offense in the next ten years or so. I don't think I am asking too much.

Turner should have been gone after the loss to Carolina.

Lovie should get more time unless his loyalty to the coaches has made him blind to their abilities ala Juron and shoop.

Turner was in charge
of letting Steve Smith beat the crap out of us?

Turner
First six plays; six passes for five yards and two punts. TJ ran for 1300 and you pass on the first six plays in the playoffs. Great start.

This is hilarious!
Seriously, who is this f'ing diarist?  I mean, has he or she ever visited this site before a few weeks ago?  Not put pressure on Turner?  None of us?  Whaa tha faaa?

To be fair...
...we haven't put any pressure on Turner. I mean, my guess is he has no clue we talk bad about him. He feels no pressure from us. We criticize him, but we don't put pressure on him.

ME
Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you guys, I have only been tracking this site this past season. I just wanted to see how everyone felt with the coaching staff. I put the heavy on Lovie just because he see's this offense and if he's responsible for the coaching staff, then why does he keep puuting up with the play-calling. How do you bring in your Ace (Hestet) on offense and draw up the reverse play from Temco Super Bowl that never worked. One of the two needs to be fired.

My apologies, as well
Welcome to the site, I didn't mean to act like this is a cool kidz club or anything either.  I re-read my comment and it comes off that way.  We've almost all been uniformly ripping on Turner all season, although it's a valid point as well to talk about Lovie.  Yet, I'd say that most of us are still behind him for at least another season.  We had a diary a few weeks ago, can't find it now, where we were trying to figure out, regarding Turner keeping his job, if we were to blame Angelo or Lovie for allowing Ron TurnerisGenius(tm) to remain a Bear another season.  In that respect, I hear you, because Lovie is ineed 'putting up with the play-calling' and the buck has to stop with him (unless it goes up to Angelo, still TBD).

And as I write ...
i see Windy right below me mentioning the same thing about Lovie and JA vis-a-vis the Turner situation.  Should look before I type.

No Worries
I love this site, I just didn't want to piss anyone off. I noticed iowaBear - I lived in Cedar Falls for 6 yrs.
I just hope to see a more aggressive offense as the NFL gets more fast-paced; the rules are in favor of the offense to score points, we have the talent they just need direction.

If you believe the stor
Smith wanted Turner let go, but JA said if Turner goes Babich goes, so they just kept both.  Insane logic, but whatever.
