Nathan Vasher Has Surgery, Will Miss Detroit Game
I understand things happen and not all the injuries can be controlled or minimized, but we put way too much money into Tommie Harris, Charles Tillman and Nathan Vasher for them to be missing games so often.
Vasher who left last weeks game versus Philadelphia for a period with a shoulder injury had surgery and is expected to miss this Sunday's game against the Lions.
Corey Graham is scheduled to slide into his spot assuming Charles Tillman is able to go.
The good in all this is Graham has actually already been taking some of Vasher's playing time:
Corey Graham figures to step in for Vasher and already has been doing so against double-tight-end formations after doing a good job spelling Tillman in training camp when he missed time with family issues.
Graham is also a bigger and more physical corner back than Vasher and that actually could be useful for us againts Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson.

Ugh.
Vasher attended UT while Roy Williams was there and was who he practiced against. He’s always done well containing him, although the issues on the Lions might make that moot.
Besides the obvious - Go Irish.
Z. He doesn't need an exclamation point. He is one.

This could be a season killer
If only one was out, we could survive. If Vasher and Tillman are out for an extended period of time, then we might be screwed.

They say Tillman does not have a serious injury, so he shouldn't be gone long if at all
the article seems to imply that Vasher would only miss a game.
Problem is this is a important game. With Rodgers in GB looking like a scratch it could be a chance for the Bears to get a game lead in the division.

after this game
we have ATL, MIN, and DET again so we are entering a stretch of games against teams we should beat so i guess i do not mind him missing this one game as long as he doesn’t miss as many games as he did last year, i agree that we have way too much money in these 3 players for them to miss so much time, and even when tommie harris was in he was more ineffective then we have ever seen

I'd rather have him
for this game and miss the ATL and MIN games. ATL and MIN have only one receiver each you have to worry about and both teams are run first. DET is pass first.

Pass rush
needs to come out of hiding for this game. Corners best friend is the pass rush. The front four need to get to Kitna. He can be rattled and throw picks. Time for these guys to wake up.

We have seen them do it this year, but
we have also seen them come out and lay an egg like versus TB, so who knows who is going to show up.

tommie harris has been suspended, apparently
for the Detroit game. didn’t think he was gonna play, anyway, but this isn’t encouraging news, period.
