bowman placed on ir...sign holt.

The Bears on Wednesday placed rookie cornerback Zack Bowman on injured reserve and signed veteran safety Terrence Holt to their 53-man roster.
After registering a career-high 75 tackles while starting all 16 games for the Cardinals last season, he was released by Arizona in February. The brother of St. Louis Rams receiver Torry Holt signed with the Carolina Panthers in March, but was waived at the end of the preseason.
Holt has started 43 of 69 career games played. The 6-2, 208-pounder has recorded 245 tackles, 13 pass breakups, four forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and a half sack. He will wear No. 32 with the Bears.
i wonder if he might be used as a cornerback given that lovie loves playing big corners who have speed. after all tillman was converted, but in any event, we can use as many guys as we can get in the banged up secondary.

Had the same reaction when I saw Steltz take #20
He missed a tackle in the preseason and my brain processed it as though Archuleta missed it. I almost cried.

Why do our DBs keep getting hurt?

Well, at least Bowman's last play of the season was a game-ending INT...

What an up and down rooking season Bowman’s had. Signed, Cut, Signed, Touchdown, Hurt, Game Winning Interception, Injury Reserve

the good news...
… is that by being placed in the IR, I believe that he is guaranteed to get the higher salary (rather than the practice squad salary).

I wonder why they didn't sign Bowman off the PS earlier in the first place
Instead of signing that douchebag Marcus Hamilton.
Hamilton helps us lose to the Falcons in the final seconds… and Bowman helps us win the following week, with a heck of a game. We need better talent evaluation.

Anyone know
what that is that he’ll be making this year? It would be interesting to know what hes making for the year after his one game.

he will make...
… the minimum salary, prorated to not include the first six weeks that he was not on the roster.
