Green Bay Packers VS. Chicago Bears - Second Half Game Thread
Sorry for the delay.
Ron Turner called for a terrible offensive series at the end of the half that led to three points for the Pack. Our run defense has also been terrible.

Watch a replay of one of last years games.
This year it’s trip over his feet and reach for the 20
Hester goes dive for 3 yards?
Maybe it is time to put Manning back there….

Our D is getting old ...
lots of guys hurt which never helps as well. But methinks this is what a defense looks like when a lot of its stars are getting close to past their prime. Not quite past yet, but close.
I'm not so mean. I wouldn't ever go out to hurt anybody deliberately - unless it was, you know, important, like a league game or something. - Dick Butkus
They have anti-aging pills.
Don’t know, that’s a good point. Let me think about that as our D continues to give the Pack its best day yet for rushing.

Why do they always throw to Hester when they need a first down.
He still does not know how to play WR.
Better punt that time from Maynard

wonder what Angelo's thinking these days
Having tied up the majority of the money into our great D, what do you think he feels about them right about now?
We have one of two problems.
1) We either have bad players and need new players to play Lovies defense.
2) We have a bad scheme and need a new Coach to take advantage or our players.
I’m going to go with the latter.
Ok, I'm not making excuses here, cuz we've played like shit all day

I have long....
questioned the ability of the the coaching staff dating back to their super bowl run. Doesn’t matter that there have been changes in the coaching staff between now and then. Their stubborn inability to make adjustments in the offseason, during game prep. and on game day continues to plague our team.
Horribe (non) adjustments, horrible game plans, horrible clock management, horrible decisions at critical times, all points to the individuals managing this team on gameday. Quite frankly, its surprising to me that we sit at 5-5 (after today) and still in the thick of the division. Even if we do make a playoff appearance, unless the staff gets an “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”going it will be a one and out.
I'm with you on this one.

we're not, really
packers beat themsleves all year and are unhealthy, the bears are just not good.
I agree, but it could be even worse (or better)
if you consider the two games we were up and then blew like we put uniforms on that said ‘chicos bail bonds’. We honestly could be first in this division even with this shitty (soon-to-be) loss today. That’s what’s sad. We’re an empty suit that could have an even better record than what we have.

Joe Buck
are you fing kidding me?? he is calling out that the refs missed a hold on the bears??? He is a jerk off..
besides the obvious scheme issues
what do you all think is the next step for the defense going forward? i mean, this is an absolute destruction, following several weeks of total destruction. besides altering the scheme (which won’t happen, obviously), what do you think realistically happens (if anything) for next week’s game?
nothing by next week
i think you need different personelle. you’re running a base defense that you are no longer able to execute well, and the guys running it are ill fitted for many other schemes. your lineman are "speed’ guys allegedly that allows them to get blocked down pretty much at will. need big athletic corners who can cover in man. the bears secondary really doesn’t look that athletic when comapred to other teams.
first game they've really been out of it from the beginning

GB played almost a perfect game. If you look at this globally we have a 3-1 record in the division still tied at the top if Min scores stays the same.
Next week we go to ST Louis and we better figure out a defensive game plan there. We still have a very good chance to make the playoffs and we control our own destiny.
