Most Memorable Bears Games Ever???

Hey Guys,

I'm new to the site but love what I see so far and can't wait to get more involved.

A question for you though- If you were to think back over the past 30 years or so of Bears football, which individual games stick out most in your minds?  Things like huge comebacks, miraculous wins, crazy things that happened in the stands, SuperBowls, conference championships,  blunder type games (Leon Lett type things)?

Thanks guys!!  Just trying to get some insight into what makes the Bears so special to so many of us!!

such an easy question:

on November 4th, 1999 (my birthday), Bryan Robinson blocks a field goal to preserve a 14-13 win over the packers 3 days after Walter Payton passed away (still makes me cry thinking about sweetness)

Jets at Bears on MNF

Cap Boso’s turf in his facemask… “capping” off an incredible last minute comeback led by Jim Harbaugh.

Mike Brown’s heroics in 2001

Bears at Vikings 1985… Jimmy Mac coming in relief and throwing 3 TDs for the comeback win… including a bomb to Gault on his first snap of the game.

I'm not going to even bother trying to update this sig everyday anymore... that's what the standings column on ESPN is for.

2006

The Bad Rex game on MNF vs Arizona… “They are who we thought they were.”

Chiefs at Bears 1977

Back and Forth game with Walter running his heart out. This is the game where you see the clip of him bouncing off of 5 different guys on one carry. Walter was incredible in that game. The Bears eventually win on a long TD pass from Bob Avellini to Greg Latta, I believe. Last second win and I think the first win on a 6 game winning streak that got them to the playoffs.

Bears vs. Saints 2007

Lol my first and only trip to Chicago. I spent too much money flyin from AL, when the Bears had no shot at the playoffs, to watch the mighty Orton ruin the Saints playoff hopes. Saw Urlacher get an int., Hester catch a bomb for a T.D., and of course Hester worked his magic and took a punt to the house for 6. Amazing.

For me?

The Bears/Cards game on MNF from 2006. Between the epic 4th quarter and the youtube legend of Denny Green? I still can’t believe we won that game.

"Next year" sucks.

against the dolphins that Henry Burris was the starting qb for, that was fun to watch for all the wrong reasons

The Fog Bowl

This is the one game where I always find myself saying “I remember watching that game on TV” whenever it is brought up by anyone.

i would also have to go with the Bears/cards game mainly because it showed our great Defense…amazing victory…and the Green thing will never go away and its like a new quote for the bears.

One of my favorite games attending were

The bears / Saints championship from 2 years ago ( best tailgate we ever had!) and of course the 85 playoff games against the giants and rams. Those were awesome games to be a part of.

I remember watching the Bears and SF

a few years back when the wind was really strong. I recall watching a replay of the FG that the wind just completely whipped off the screen. That one also had the Vasher missed FG return.

The Fog game is another. The two games where Brown returned TDs in overtime were fun to watch. I remember James Allen making a diving catch in the end zone on a hail mary to get us to OT on one of those, if I am not mistaken.

Bears vs Miami (MNF '85)

I was still a kid and I specifically remember trying to watch the game (in the living room) after I was sent to bed. That would have been a fun Super Bowl re-match.

Nov. 1986 vs. the Packers

1. The infamous Charles Martin body slam of Jim McMahon game. Martin had a hit list on a towel he wore with Mac’s # on it. Had to be the cheapest shot I have ever seen. He slams Mac down on his bad shoulder a full 3 seconds after he threw an int. I remember when the Bears D came on you could feel how pissed they were, something big was going to happen. They played with this sustained adrenaline fueled rage that was just amazing. It started to snow right on que and they drove the Packers back about 20 yards on a 3 and out. The D scored on a blocked punt and Singletary made a monster hit later to force a fumble that led to a game winning field goal by Butthead. Hampton also had a safety in the game before the hit.

2. Sep. 1985 vs. the Vikings
Thursday night at Minnesota, Jim McMahon was forced to the bench by Ditka because of missing practice with a sore neck (many attributed this injury to McMahon’s habit of head-butting his offensive linemen after scores). With Steve Fuller at the helm, Minnesota led 17-9 in the third quarter. Ditka gave in to McMahon’s urges, and put him in the game. The rest, as they say, is history. McMahon fired 3 touchdown passes, #1 being on his very first play in the game, to lead the Bears to a 33-24 victory.

3. Nov 1985 vs. Cowboys
Complete Domination 44-0. 4 int. (2 for TDs) 1 fumble. I think Dallas was held to negative yardage in the 1st half?
