Perfect Storm - Bears can win division or wildcard

Ok, today was the best possible outcome for the Bears.  Actually not just today, but the whole weekend.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe we can win the division or earn the wild card.

What went right this weekend
Baltimore defeated Cowboys
Chargers defeated Tampa Bay
Atlanta defeated Vikings (This game was a toss up.  Either winner helped us.)
Redskins defeated Eagles

How we win the Division:
Bears defeat Packers this week and Houston next week
Vikings lose to Giants next week

How we can win the Wildcard
Bears defeat Packers this week and Houston next week
Eagles defeat Cowboys next week
Tampa Bay Loses to Oakland

Not bad!  If we win out, we have two scenarios that get us in.  We basically have 3 games that if two go our way, we are in and one if that game is the Vikings.

Remember guys, we do need to win our last two games.  Go Bears!

Bear Down!!!

This is what we’ve been talkin about. Not bein able to control our own destiny, just play hard and win out, and things will hopefully fall into place for us. Well, for the time being they have fallen in perfect place and tomorrow night is the opportunity to come out and show the world on a national stage that we’re for real. Granted it’s the Packers, who have disappointed this year, but it’s a rival nonetheless. BEAR DOWN!

I just thought of this as well...

If the Panthers beat the Giants tonight, then that would make today even better. I know it has been mentioned in numerous threads, but that would mean the Giants would need to win against the Vikings or else limp into the playoffs losing 4 straight. No way the coaches or players will want that!

Go Panthers!

the giants will play hard no matter what

coughlin is a hard ass. you can be sure the team believes going hard against the pats in the season finale last year made a big difference in the postseason. jacobs hasn’t played for a few games, and they definitely want him back in rhythm. plus, they’ll have a week off. all these reasons lead me to think there is no way the giants don’t show up in full force against the vikings next week.

Oakland over Tampa Bay is really the only hard to believe game remaining.

On another note, all the games that matter are in the early slot next week.

But first things first: beating Green Bay.

What you don't see in the Oakland Vs. Tampa Bay game

is that Oakland is still hurting from losing that Superbowl. They will be ready for revenge!

They did win this week, so they have a small amount of momentum going into Tampa.

Plus.

The Bucs suck right now, and Oakland took out a surging Houston team today. It’s still a longshot, but it’s not waiting for the Lions to beat the Panthers or something.

we still have to win out

or none of this matters. It’s good to be excited about today’s happenings, but the Bears need to do their part tomorrow night and next Sunday to make this day worthwhile
