So it appears that Edge may become available. He use to be able to run and catch, but can he still play at a high level?
While they talk, the future of such Cardinal mainstays as running back Edgerrin James and linebacker Calvin Pace may hang in the balance. James' salary-cap number is $6.75 million next season. The Cardinals could save his actual salary of $5 million by releasing him.
I'm not sure how much a guy like James would get these days, maybe 4-5 million a year, but it may be worth looking into if he were cut. What do you think?
