Giants re-sign Derrick Ward

This is a guy I wouldn't have minded pursuing for cheap, and cheap is what the Giants got him back for.  Seems odd that he would want to go back to such a stacked backfield.  Maybe he sucks, but he sure looked good against the Bears last season.  However, I'm not going to sweat about losing out on another decent running back.  After looking at some of the comments on the running back post on the main page and looking through some of the running back prospects, there seem to be a lot of good backs available in rounds 1-3.

Everyone knows Mendenhall. Stewart, Felix Jones and Ray Rice are good options in round 2, Kevin Smith and Chris Johnson seem like they could be steals in round 3.

He is a rb under 200 lbs. This isn't what we need. There's no way Wolfe will ever be a full time back or even a solid split time back because he's too small. We need to be looking at guys who have at least a semi-good size. This is why we shouldn't draft Dennis Dixon to fill our QB needs because he could never take the pounding.

The NFL is getting harder, faster, stronger every day. A RB under 200lbs will get destroyed even carrying the ball 10times a game. His speed is impressive but he can't take the beating that he'll get in the NFL to warrant anything more than maybe a 4th or 5th.
