The Jets spending spree continued as they signed Maurice Williams to a 4-year, $16 million deal.

This is a pretty big disappointment to me. He was the one young, starting caliber tackle left on the market. I don't feel like the Jets even overpaid that much to get him. That's about what you should expect to pay for a starting tackle. The Bears didn't even show interest. I guess now we sit and wait for the Bears to sign Blake Brockermeyer to fill the hole at ORT.

One a side note, I've heard rumblings that Lewis Tillman is pondering a come back. He could be the competition at RB that Angelo is looking for.

I don't usually correct people but.....

Maurice Williams re-signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars for 16 mil for 4 years, not with the Jets. Although I could understand the confusion with all the big name free agents that the jets have brought in. I too am disappointed though, because I thought that he was a lesser know free agent that would have been a good grab for the bears for less money than they were paying Miller and Brown. Free agency sucks for us bears fans!!!

...headline actually I read said "Jets"....Whomever probably meant to type Jags....and you're right the mistake was probably made due to the Jets actually signing pretty much every available FA.
