QB Starter?

I know we have heard about this many times but we do have two QB's. Not a good two QB's, just two QB's. I think Kyle Orton should start. We saw him in the last two games last year and the Bears (I said Sox before, sorry about that) won both of the games. He may not have great games but SOMEHOW, the Bears come away with a victory. I've seen enough of Grossman, and who wants to see him taking the first snap of the season in a loss to the Colts? If Orton starts, he gives us a boost on offense with his cannon of an arm. He needs to improve on his accuarcy but he can work on that during training camp. What I am asking you is, who do you want starting for the 2008 Chicago Bears?

Star-divide

Don't say Orton doesn't have an arm. He was known as a gunslinger in college and has a huge arm if the Bears would open up the offense for him. Does anyone remember his first TD pass he had against the Saints? The Bears were back on the Saints 20 or 25 yard line and had a rocket into the endzone for a TD. That really looked good. All of our offensive woes points to Ron Turner. The guy is an idiot and should have been fired but Lovie Smith and JA just love him too. This should and will be Turner's last year.

It all depends
It seems that Grossman outplays Orton in camp because he's been anointed the starter the past 2 years and would have been in 05 if not for his injury.  Lovie must see something in Kyle that he really doesn't like unless he has no choice to play him; i.e. injury to Grossman or having to decide between Orton or Griese.

I'd like to see Orton got a shot just so we can know if he's the future or not.  But Grossman is the better passer, period.  He's just an idiot.  Orton won't lose the game like Grossman can but he also can't win the game like Grossman can, if that makes sense.

Orton
Needs to bulk up mabye his arm would be stronger. he makes less mistakes then Rex. With the new starters, the chemistry is going to have to be remixed, so that might help Orton. Still think that "Rex is our starting Quarterback" on opening day, but he's still a joke and Spurrier sucks.lol

The Sox?
We saw him in the last two games last year and the Sox won both of the games
Damn... didn't know that Orton was so good that when he started for the Bears, the Sox won!

But seriously... if we are going to talk about team records, Rex has proven over and over again that he can win games.

If Orton starts, he gives us a boost on offense with his cannon of an arm.
Umm... what?  Rex has a stronger arm than Orton.  And it isn't really close.

Rex has always beat out Kyle before
perhaps because his expectations were higher as a 1st round pick and being in the NFL for an additional year. And Orton, a 4th round pick by his own admission wasnt very mature. IMO, Rex still has the inside track in Lovie's eyes; I would prefer Orton. He's signed for 2 years instead of Rex's 1; has better size, poise under sack pressure, hands, and his outside throws have more zip. Rex may throw a better deep ball; I havent seen Orton attempt enough to judge comparatively.

what?
his outside throws have more zip
What?

Interesting... I have never heard anyone else think that Orton has "zip" on his outside throws.  That is one of my biggest criticisms of Orton, that his lack or arm strength makes him incapable of throwing a good outside ball.

I don't agree
I think that has nothing to do with it, their draft positions.  It's not just Lovie, when you watch NFL network or ESPN, they say the same things that Grossman outperforms Orton in camp.  You can take that for what it's worth which probably isn't much.  Grossman is the better passer and Orton is the better "game manager".  Orton's arm isn't as good as Grossman's but I think that's a good thing because he doesn't fall in love with it like Grossman does.

OMG
The bears recently took a look at Brady Leaf, NO.2 bust Ryan Leaf's brother. God hates me.
