Bears Working Out Mike Dragosavich

Obviously, not as exciting of news as working out Matt Forte or Jamaal Charles, but perhaps just as necessary.

Bears punter Brad Maynard is entering his 12th season, 7 of them with the Bears.

This Friday the Bears will be working out North Dakota State Punter Mike Dragosavich.

Dragosavich is the number 2 ranked punter in this years draft and has a career average of 44.5 yards a punt.

buford & maynard were fa's
we've had bad luck over the years drafting punters (buford came from the chargers and maynard the giants).  i know we have a lot of picks, but how about giving the c-train some competition this year instead of maynard.  much bigger holes than punter.

I concur

What, you didn't like Sauerbraun?

Seriously, though if no one drafts this guy, even with our compensatory 7th round picks, he could be a good undrafted signee. I wouldn't waste a draft pick but let him know if he is undrafted we'd like to have him in our camp. Maynard did start showing his age a coupla games last year.

As a Ball State Student...
I just say, not yet. Maynard is the best thing to come out of Ball State and I love having a guy from my school on the team.
