John Tait Moved To Right?
With the drafting of Chris Williams with the Bears first pick it has been assumed that incumbent left tackle, John Tait, would move to the right side and let Williams, considered the only true left tackle in the draft, take over that spot, but nothing was official.
While it still isn't at camp John Tait ran reps with the first team at the right side with John St. Clair working on the left side.
Both moves make sense. Get Tait as many reps at right and St. Clair practices at left in case Williams is a hold out or isn't ready to take over the position.

This is a good move
and I don’t think we should count on Williams holding out. He wants to play and you would think if it got to July/August there would be enough of the 1st round offensive tackles contracts done to base Williams’ off of.
Lovie Smith-isms:
"We get off the bus running"
"Rex Grossman is our quarterback."
"...and we'll go from there."

am i
the only one a bit nervous about having a rookie left tackle covering our quarterbacks’ blind side? considering grossman has shown no pocket presence thus far and unless he goes through a derek anderson style transformation it won’t get much better…it just seems kind of risky but hopefully Williams will be the talent we all hope he is.
