Marcus Robinson Retires
At one time the Bears thought they had a franchise wide receiver, but they also thought they had a franchise QB. It turns out that neither was true. The receiver however stayed with the team for longer and than bounced around the league for a few years. Now he has come back to end it.
Former Bears receiver Marcus Robinson has called it a career and has opted to retire a Chicago Bear, the team with which he saw his most productive years.
I always like these stories. A journey man goes home and signs a small contract in order to retire with the team he liked the most or had the most success with. I for one like Robinson and was sad to see him go, though, he didn't turn out to be the guy we thought we had on our team or any other. Some of that was due to injury, but he just never found the next level.

hell
why retire, the bears probably would’ve given him an actual contract since we need all the experience we can get at wideout.

I was a fan of his
and was saddened when he blew out his knee. I always grinned to see him getting work where he could.
I look forward to the day I hear this story about Big Frank on the south side.

I remember when he got hurt against the Bengals – not only was I disappointed for him personally, but worried for the Bears’ season that year. We went 13-3, but certainly could have used him in the playoffs.
