Bears promote Kevin Turks to assistant director of pro personnel.

Turks is in his eighth year with the Bears' personnel department, the last six as an assistant pro scout.

Turks was a linebacker at North Carolina State from 1995-98.

At least one person thinks the Bears should bring in recently released RB Travis Henry.  What about you?

Just released by Denver, Henry would give us an experienced back and some real competition for Benson in the backfield. Henry does have some issues, but they're nothing compared to Benson's baggage. Henry is also young enough to stick around awhile. Just a couple years ago, he was putting up solid numbers with Tennessee.

I say bring in Henry, let him compete with Benson and Forte for the starting job, and use Peterson exclusively on special teams. As usual I don't expect anything big from Mr. Angelo, but hey, at least we have Briggs back.

Recently signed receiver Brandon Lloyd's contract has officially come off the books for the 2008 season.

On Tuesday, the contracts of Mike Wahle and Dan Morgan in Carolina, Kalimba Edwards in Detroit and Brandon Lloyd in Chicago came off the salary cap books. They were pre-June 2 designees, which gave the players time to find a new home in February and March but gave the three teams the freedom of taking the cap hits for their departures in 2009.

Not Henry

I heard Lamont Jordan will be released very soon. I saw that on the Bottom Line on ESPN. I’d rather see him get a chance, me being a Terp fan and all.

Travis Henry

I’m not sure how many illigitimate children Travis Henty has.

I seem to recall the number is 6

I think he is two away from matching Shawn Kemp.

The Point is

if he’s not smart enough to figure out where the local Planned Parenthood Clinic is how is he going to figure out how to pick-up the Blitz.

I'm not sure running back

is a position we are in need of unless Angelo decides to cut a couple from the roster. Personally, I’d rather have a running back corps of Forte-Jordan-Peterson than Benson-Forte-Wolfe-Peterson, but it’s looking as though both Benson and Wolfe will keep their roster spots.

I don’t have any use for Travis Henry. He appears to be an addict, and he’s one more time getting caught from being suspended for at least a year. And he’s been able to stay healthy for an entire season once.

No Henry

Just stick with what we got.

"Rex Grossman is our quarterback."

why not kevin jones?

much higher ceiling and he has something to prove. and if we did bring in another rb be it lamont jordan travis henry or kevin jones I dont see any reason to keep adrian peterson, I think it should be a no brainer to let our ap go.

Most people

are asphyxiated with AP’s special teams play. I don’t think that’s a valid reason to keep him though.

Pass on Travis!!!!!!!!!!

Bottom line with Travis, one failed drug test and he’s out for a year. That’s why the Broncos unloaded him, not his injuries or based on performance.
