Can this soap opera get any better?
Packers are accusing Vikes of tampering with Favre.
Ap - Packers: Vikings tampering
So lets recap - Favre is tearing apart Packerland with his selfish and ill-considered actions, pitting fans against front office - dissension in the locker room next?
Vikings are indicating their faith in their QB by showing interest in grampa Brett.
1 week till training camp and our 2 biggest rivals are showing some turmoil. I just gotta laugh.

His agent said
he has until week 6 to make a decision. As sick as I am about all of this, if this actually drags for that long, it would ruin there season.

Now all we need is to get
Detroit wrapped up in all of this and were good.

As a vikings fan, I can summarize my thoughts on this quite simply...
Fucking fuckstick fuckers! Goddammit!
If you think SF got hit hard for the Lance Briggs issue, I assure you that will be nothing compared to what we get if the NFL finds us guilty. And as we’ve all experienced, Goodell doesn’t need much to drop the hammer.
Unless it’s New England. In which case it’s a slap on the wrist.
And really? Are you worried about Detroit?

Not at all.
But as long as two out of our three division rivals are wrapped up in controversy, might as well make it 100%.
Actually, I take that back. I’m afraid of anybody we face when #8’s takin snaps.

Like a virus...
The Madden Curse has mutated itself to destroy teams instead of destroying players. We should petition EA Sports to NEVER have a Bears player on the cover of thier game.

actually chifan 13
the fear you feel when rex is playing is just gas.
rexs record against nfc north opponents in 06 was 5-1. Including blowout wins over the pack and lions. You can say what you want about #8, but he doesnt loose to bad teams.
In fact when he starts or plays he beats team like(off the top of my head) the bills 40-7, the lions34-7, the niners 41-10, the pack 26-0, and makes go ahead bombs to bernard in oakland. And lets not forget about the good teams. The saints 39-14, the seahawks 37-6, the giants 38-20, the bronco win in ot and also 296 yds and 1td against the soon to be champs again(we might have won this if he wasnt running for his life). This is more than i can say for griese or orton.

how about dallas, indy, green bay, and miami? All losses he played a big part in. you could also mention the victories he played no part in.

you mentioned 4 games
while i mentioned 10.
yeah he played bad in those games you mentioned, no doubt.
i was responding to the chifan 13 comment which was he gets nervous anytime rex plays including division games. I dont understand why you would disagree unless you just want to.

you could also mention the victories he played no part in.
that would, of course, be more games.

no thanks
if you don’t know them then already then either you weren’t watching or you choose not to remember them. the arguments been had more than enough here already, you can find it. at least those times they brought more than “10 vs. 4” though.

What?
Are you truly making a case for Rex Grossman?
1) 2006 was 2006, and yes, he was hot for the first five games or so.
2) Speaking of good teams, how did Rex do in the Super Bowl?
3) How did he turn out last year? Be honest, God hates lying.
A quarterback should be a quick, smart decision maker who has the physical attributes to accomplish what he intends on doing. Rex has none of those qualities. I know, I know, I seem like a huge downer, but quarterbacks shouldn’t get THREE YEARS to put on/take off the training wheels. To be fair, he’s not a huge whiner or locker room diva. I hope Rex can stay consistent this next year, I truly wish that; all I want is a consistently good quarterback. But past experience shows that he’s not.

shouldn’t get THREE YEARS
actually isn’t that usually the case? i thought the third year was when i guy really busted through.
either way he’s 6 ft tall and can’t see over the line half the time.

i was responding to your comment in which you said you felt nervous everytime rex started. re read what i said and i get back to me. i said nothing wrong.
1.) It wasnt 5 games, it was more like 11
2.) yeah he threw to picks in the 4th, but he did some good things. the slant to moose in the end zone for example. And that game had as much to do about our d not getting off the field as it did our o.
3.) and before he got hurt last year, i saw a different rex. He played better, consistent and made plays.

"He played better, consistent and made plays"
In 2007, he played 8 of 17 games. The first three games, he had QB ratings of 53.7, 56, and 27.5. Then, he missed the next five weeks. After his mid-season hiatus, he posted QB ratings of 109.8, 86.1, 66.9, 81.4, 42.4 before getting injured and sitting the rest of the season (3 games).
What about that screams ‘consistent’ to you? Not only could he not get on the field consistently, he had massive problems being consistent in his play. Going from 109.8 to 86.1 to 66.9 is definitely consistent…..Consistently inconsistent.
He played better in some games, I will grant you that. The NY Giants game was a great example of that. But you can’t say that he played super awesome against Oakland, thus he’s the man, because if they would’ve lost to the doormat of the league last year, I would’ve shot Rex myself.
Rex is a below-average quarterback who better show us something this year. I’m not saying Orton is better, but I’m starting to grow tired of having Rex on our team and be the model of inconsistency for everyone in the league.

Hey stud...
...speaking of being intelligent, take a look at who gman2849 was directing that comment to.
No wonder you love Rex. You have a delusional sense of gradeur to boot.

It has to do with the immature and unintelligent manner that you communicate your points with.

I agree with alot of what you say
but I think that having no protection at the line makes for a lot more bad decisions as a quarterback
