Favre's got the itch

to keep playing, so says Chris Mortensen and Al Harris. Poor  Aaron Rodgers...

basically

this is all we are going to hear about until the season starts….will he come back or won’t he…shoot me

The plot thickens...

http://www.madison.com/wsj/blogs/Packers/294432

Favre SUPPOSEDLY told Packers he wanted to come back, they said they moved on and then he asked for his release, which they HAVE NOT granted.

I know...

...that we’re thin at receiver/offensive line, but if Favre got his release and signed with us it would not only be good for the Bears on the field, but the ultimate burn to Green Bay!

seriously?

you want to see him lining up with the Bears? Put me down for a “hell no” on that one. You can come at me with good of the team or talk about his game and consistency all day but it just wouldn’t be right and I’m sure more people agree with me than disagree.

I agree...

...with you that it wouldn’t be right. I was just throwing it out there as a possibility, both for the team and an “in your face” to Green Bay.

No way we want a Packer playing for the Bears

That would be like an X Cardinal playing for the Cubs, Seriously the rumor I heard was Favre going to the Viqueens now that would be scary.

I don't want him either.

He’ll show up for a year, be a drama queen, and leave our offense in chaos after this year. I certainly don’t mind that he’s causing chaos in GB though. I’m hoping to hear the crowd chanting in the third quarter of game one “We want Favre!”, just to screw with Aaron Rodgers’ head.

And come on… Viqueens?

An X Cardinal?

You mean like Jim Edmonds?

Hey everybody, let's talk sports!

I agree with Ando

It would mess up our team for several reasons. One, Rex has talent that we have one season to see if he has fixed his problems. His contract would be a waste and Rex could be our future QB. The team wants to have that answer for sure. 2) Chances are Rex will not do well (although I am rooting for him) and the team will get a real good look at Orton.

This season is all about us seeing where we stand with those two. If neither one of them are capable starters, then we know what we have to do next season for the future of the club. We will probably bring in a vet, again, and draft a rookie in round one. I pray they do something at G as well or they got super lucky and found someone this year, but I don’t see how that is possible.

The last bad thing about Brett is that he is already prone to the pick which is the same problem we have with Rex. With our line and receiving group, expect those pics to start going back up again. He is better, than our guys for sure, but it would hurt our teams future.

Imagine us losing Rex and he had all the tools to be a winner and we never even gave him the shot the last season we paid him. We know he has the skills. We just don’t know if he has improved on the little things and gained some self control on his decision making.

Kick it to me... I'm open!

i would welcome him back

it would be another year of him getting assfucked by tommie harris and the rest of the defense

35-7 anyone???

The first thing I thought when I heard this

was hoping that the person who “leaked” this was Jerry Angelo. How awesome would it be if someone from the Bears was just $%^#@ing with the heads of all the Packer fans out there.

Personally, I think the longer this stays in the forefront, the better for da Bears. If it’s Farve – Lovie is 6-2 (4-0 at Lambeau) against him. If it ends up being Rodgers, he’ll be completely mind-jobbed.

Can you imagine having to look over your shoulder, fearing getting yanked for a guy who had his retirement press conference five months ago?!? This is high comedy and I hope there is more to come.

Just another example of Favre completely screwing with the franchise during the offseason – I can’t believe he gets away with it.

how is this a comeback?

they haven’t even played a down since he has been “retired”...he would have skipped all off these off season workouts even if he was playing…i agree the more this is in the news, the more of a distraction it is for the packers. they even have al harris on espn talking about it and it is adding more fuel to the fire and mess with rodgers head.

WELL THIS IS WHAT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE…..I COULD HANDLE THIS LOOK FOR A YEAR OR 2 …. BETTER LOOK THAN GROSSMAN & ORTON
