Lets hope for Favre to the Bucs

Where would you Bears fans want Favre to go? Personally I think the best fit for us would be Tampa Bay, because it would force them to get rid of a QB or two. Garcia AND Simms would be gone, and we would have shot at both or either of them. I know Garcia would be a short-term fix, and we need to see what Rex and Kyle have, but I feel that with Garcia at QB we are immediately in the NFC North's Driver seat. He is still mobile enough to make up for the left side of our line, and he didn't play in the league long enough to get a ton of miles on his arm (which is plenty strong enough if you remember the year he was with Philly throwing bombs to Stallworth). Heres hoping Favre to the Bucs happen.

The other team that has been "allowed" to talk to Favre is the Jets, which wouldn't benefit us as much because they have a similar QB battle going on. Pennington would probably be gone if Favre joins the Jets.

jeff garcia or pennington are not

an upgrade over what we have. to bring a guy in camp, make him learn the system and then vault him up the depth chart by week one is absurd. rex and kyle have experience, they have wins and will have entire camp and preseason with the new guys.

whether anyone wants to admit it right now, rex is the best qb in our division and kyle isnt far behind. I’d take rex over kitna, jackson, or rodgers. I’d take kyle over those three guys as well.

Rex and Kyle have way more upside than chad or jeff g. those two could be good additions as backup vets however.

but lovies proven that he can game plan well against farve, so seeing him week 3 wouldnt be too bad. but i would prefer if he went to the jets….just in case he decides to play out his mind this season.

At this point

It’s too late for either of them to help us. I could see Garcia learning the new system, but what’s the point of bringing him in if Rex and Orton have been working with the guys this long anyway? He’s definitely on the downside of his career, so how much better in a completely new environment with not as much time to learn everything than the guys we have now who’ve been with us for years?
