Favre In Chicago?
So the big story going around right now is how Brett Favre has the itch to play again. To add to that his family has said the Packers organization has not been hospitable to him the last few years and he'd like to possibily play elsewhere, so of course some Chicago journalist has to pick it up and run with it.
So let's just get this out of the way right now.
If Favre came available and the Bears could get him, do you want him?

It is a cool thought...
But when you think of bringing Favre to the Bears, its not like your getting a QB who will be able to lead your team for the next 18 years like he did for the Pack. I think that is what some people may subconsciously think when it comes to bringing in a guy like that. He just won’t have the same impact in a new system with new players. The only reason he had been having good seasons the past few years is because he was finally getting comfortable with the new younger players on the Packers. It took him a couple years of sub-par play, media ridicule, and low win counts to get to that stage of comfort with these newer players. The Bears need to find their own long term answer at QB and be patient when they do.

if we had an oline
yes, adolf hitler could be under center and i wouldn’t care as long as we won. favre was a guy to hate because he always beat us, guys like that are easier to take on your team.
i don’t think our team is good enough on paper for him to even consider it, i would bet the vikings if he were to stay in the division.

No, I don't want him
He’s too old and I’ve enjoyed respecting him but hating him for as long as I can remember so why would I want him to suit up here? It just wouldn’t be right.
Lovie Smith-isms:
"We get off the bus running"
"Rex Grossman is our quarterback."
"...and we'll go from there."

Absolutely Not!
Let alone the fact that we are talking about Brett Friggen Favre… Oldie McShitMyPants… can you imagine how painful our SNF games would be this year? Johnny is already gonna have a field day with the retirement/un-retirement… On the other hand… maybe the excitement would be so great that Madden’s head would finally explode. I feel dirty. GO MADDEN CURSE!

no thanks
favre here would be shitty for both sides. we already have qb’s who can throw silly picks and with the relative lack of offensive weapons + a reliable o line (which i hope i’m really wrong about this year!!) he is just gonna get his streak of games broken. plus we’ve been kicking his ass for the most part since lovie came on board so here’s to hoping he plays another year with the pack.

Favre Comeback
Can you imagine the glee of just sitting in a Green Bay bar to watch the game in a Favre Bears jersey? I endorse anything that pisses Packers fans off that much.

what a selfish man...
...to tell the world he’s gonna retire last winter, only to want to come back.
do the nfl some good already, please just go away.
packers should release him if he chooses to come back. and no other team should sign him. including the bears. i don’t care if he’s the bears’ last chance at a super bowl ring.
i’d rather do without a championship than to have use a man whose word you can’t honor to get the bears the illustrious ring they have been waiting for since 1985.
if you can’t honor his word, what can you honor in him?

I'd can't decide what's more surprising..
If the Pack DID want him back or if they DIDN’T.
On one hand, by wanting to come back to Green Bay after retiring, he just completely shit on their draft. They picked up TWO QB’s to compete with the one they got a few years agao when they expected him to retire.
And now he wants to come back. If he had figured this out before the draft they could’ve spent one or possibly both of those picks on players they could actually use.
on the other hand…
Draft shenanigans aside, He let them to a 13-3 record (and unbelievably 2 of their 3 losses were to a 7-9 … US)
not to mention one bad throw away from the Super Bowl.
I mean, they’re THERE. They are RIGHT FRIGGIN’ THERE. You really think Rodgers can just step up and lead a team who is otherwise ready to go all the way to the promised land in hi FIRST SEASON!? I ceratinly don’t.
I say he needs two full seasons under his belt before he’s close to ready for that.
and that CB duo can’t wait that long.
