You mean our Chicago Swiss Cheese?

Our whole in the dam, our Spaghetti strainer? Yea, that will be interesting.

I hope so...

Hopefully I can watch it online…. fucking West Coast doesn’t play any good games; if my budget could afford, I’d get Sunday Ticket.

I take that back...

it’s actually on TV…. WTF Bears defense? Two big ass runs in a row? I thought DD was playing tonight?

I know right...

but let’s not put too much stock in this preseason game…. I’ve got confidence in our D. One bad series won’t make me change my mind…although I still hate to see this sorry display… hey, they put DD in and I noticed a big difference

NOTE FROM THE FUTURE:

He gives up on a play, which results in a touchdown.

I think

they’re used to being both the offense and defense. I think they were just confused.

See? Made a 3rd-down stop. And guess who made the tackle.

For real. I'm convinced of the line conspiracy.

Kruetz doesn’t like Rex. He had all the guys not block when Rex was in. He also causes the fumbles on purpose.

Yeah, yeah.

Hurray for the TD and all but did you see #23 drop that cross-route pass? Wasn’t his fault, I saw Orton fire that same behind the receiver BS pass last week. He better get better on his timing or he’ll have the crowd calling for Jim Miller by week 4!

Looked like he was firing a cannon shot on a short pass.

It’s sad when an offensive touchdown brings so much hope. I pranced around my apartment like the Bears had won the Super Bowl and not like they scored an offensive TD. In a preseason game.

it is more bend don’t break than dominating and opportunistic, but they are keeping the ball out of the end zone and that is what really counts.

There was a FB, I can't remember his name on the roster that looked good in Preseason game 1. Was Polite or is he a RB.

Doesn’t matter, I think McKey is becoming more inconsistent all the time. Keep an eye on him.

Orton looked very good.

The line was good.
Rashied Davis almost caught 3 TD’s in the first half. He looked good.
Kevin Jones looked phenomenal but only got like 2 plays.
Defense has been horrible.
Mike Brown made a huge hit, but also made a bad coverage mistake.
Daniel Manning had several great returns.
Wolfe was horrible on returns.
Ron Turner can’t call plays.
Brandon Lloyd blocked a punt.
Israel Idonoje blocked a field goal.
Dusty Dvoracek played well early.

That’s a majority of it.

It looks like Mike Martz might save Mike Nolan's career.

They must have some confusing coaching meetings. I love Mike Martz. I think he got a raw deal in St. Louis. Those GM’s weren’t bringing in any talent and totally depleted that team over several years.

Winners and Losers

Winners:
1) Danieal Manning – showed that athleticism we drafted for
2) Dusty Dvoracek – showed that he’s a good DT when healthy
3) Israel Idonije – solidified his role as a DT and special teams player
4) Rashied Davis – wow. Busted out tonight in a huge way
5) Kyle Orton – managed the game well, which is what we needed

Losers:
1) Charles Tillman – Looked like a confused kid in Pop Warner tonight
2) Mike Brown – Made a crucial clueless error
3) Rex Grossman – Poor kid. He had no time to throw, then made bad decisions at times. His confidence is officially shot, and the boo birds came out in force tonight.

I'M A MAN! I'M 22!

the rare moments you have time

you can’t throw the ball to the linebacker. or too high.

until he makes plays under pressure, he will get blizted on every play. teams know they can get him, so they will send the house, and most lines will have trouble with that. especially our crappy one.

he has never adjusted from florida. now his arm can’t carry him.

by mike b on Aug 21, 2008 10:52 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

You're totally right, but I want to add one thing and ChiFan13 mentioned it too.

His confidence is completely gone. He didn’t look like that kid who wanted the ball and a chance to show the world he can make the throws. He looked completely deflated. I’m disappointed that he didn’t try to rise to the challenge to try to show everyone they were wrong, but I understand it. This kid has had a very tough career. No QB has ever been criticized as hard as he has and I think it has finally got to him where can even feel good about himself anymore. To me that is sad because the guy is a person first and a football player second.

I’m still disappointed in the fans for booing him because he’s not the starter so leave the guy alone. He has done everything he could to try to help this team win. Support your team. If you want to boo, boo your coaches and GM who have put bad talent on the field.

Kick it to me... I'm open!
