The Bears Seem like a good Value to win the NFC North

I believe all they have to do is get decent QB play like they did year before last and they have a great shot... All the pieces are in place and with Rodgers starting at GB that effectively takes them out IMO as he will struggle for a good portion of the season.

What do you guys think?

huh?

i wasn’t overly impressed with the d tonight, seems like they are going to get run on a ton.

its possible

they might also just need some time together. This was Dvoraceks first time back and Alex Brown wasn’t a starter last season. I think they will get better. I don’t know if they can stuff the run, but I think it will take a little more effort in the future.

I don’t put much stock into Preseason. I think all will be fine when the real games start…..It will take some time playing together because they don’t get that much in Preseason anymore. Salaries are so high and with the Cap they can’t afford to play many regulars too much for fear of Injury

You have to put a little stock

into game 3 as it is really the only dress rehearsal, but if things go bad it isn’t the end of the world.

No doubt you have to put a little Stock into game 3… but mostly it is the last Audition for guys on the bubble before most Decisions are made to who is going to make the team.

Actually the starters played the whole first half and most of the third.

We were losing the whole way, and it was SF. Not too inspiring when O’Sullivan is tearing our D apart.

I'm not so sure

At +275, that’s still pretty thin odds. If they were closer to +400, I could be interested.

The Bears are currently 4.1 bid at 9 offered.

The Vikings are 2.1 bid at 2.54 offered.

You can hit that 4.1 bid if you want.

How is Minnesota forgotten?

When Favre was supposedly going to them, they were favorites to win the whole NFC! Tavaris Jackson ain’t that bad, I wouldn’t mind him over Orton.

are you serious?

I think your team has gotten off to a good start in rebuilding…..a RB to take the pleasure boaters place….a somewhat new face at QB…..but how did your defense get so bad in just one year?….I expect you guys to finish around 6-10 or 7-9……Orton isn’t the answer, your RB’s are unproven, and you lack depth and experience at WR…..

Pot, calling kettle

Lack of experience at WR, I’ll grant you that; lack of depth, not so much.

This, coming from a fan of the team with Bernard Berrian, a couple of no-names, Bobby Wade (!), and a bunch of rookies.

The Vikes may be much better at the RB spot, but WR? Sorry…

by garsky on Aug 26, 2008 9:37 AM CDT up reply actions

and thats only if

Berrian can get back on the field. I hear that turf toe he is working with is pretty nasty and giving him a hard time.

And if you thought Orton-Berrian wasn't a good match

you’re not likely to approve of a Jackson-Berrian connection either…

its not about qb, believe it or not.

I think this teamwould be good with Grossman or Orton, as long as the O-line would hold up for them. the O-line will make or break the 08 Bears.
