Bears Fantasy Depth Chart

There are several key position battles in the Chicago offense, including quarterback and running back. See how we rank the draft tier slot for all the key players in the Bears offense.

Star-divide

CHICAGO BEARS
FANTASY DEPTH CHART

Key:
PTR= Position Tier Rank. This is the tier level where the player should be slotted in most drafts.
1 = Elite Player
2 = Solid Performer
3 = Backend starter/Bench fill-in
4 = Roster filler or long-term prospect
0 = No value
ITR = In The Rotation
PB = Position Battle
S = Starter

QB                                   PTR
Rex Grossman - PB        3
Kyle Orton - PB                 4
Caleb Hanie                     0
Summary: The winner of this position battle between two former starters will not leave fantasy owners wanting either one.  Grossman has a little more upside, only because of his 23 TD season in 2006.  But that also came with 20 INTs.  Orton started 15 games in 2005 and and had only 9 TDs with 13 INTs as a rookie.  Don't put yourself in a position where you need to decide on one of these two.

Um.... wouldn't the Bears real "fantasy" depth chart

have Peyton Manning on top of it?

I'm not going to even bother trying to update this sig everyday anymore... that's what the standings column on ESPN is for.
