AP a healthy scratch today?

Per ESPN:

If you were looking for confirmation that he’d [Forte] be OK for Week 2, you’ve got it. Forte owners can also rest a little bit easier in that third-string running back Adrian Peterson is a healthy scratch on Sunday, while he’d likely be active if Forte’s health were a major concern.

This bothers me… AP is our special team’s ace! WTF? Who are they dressing today over AP?

I'm not going to even bother trying to update this sig everyday anymore... that's what the standings column on ESPN is for.

Per Sun Times:

Mark Bradley will dress today over AP. They say the Bears want to put more speed on the field today and look for some big plays.

Followed by the rest of the season coaches and press asking “Where is Mark Bradley why hasen’t he gotten more playing time?”

REMINDER FOR EVERYONE

At the end of the game against the Colts, the thread started lagging with 777 comments on it.

At halftime, I’ll post up a 2nd half thread, so when I post it up, move on over there.

I like getting bradley in the mix, him and lloyd on the field make it a tougher cover for the panthers. Let’s use the TE’s again today, they will be key.

Wouldn't know where to start.

I’ve read some of the stuff on sites like Football Outsiders and Advanced NFL Stats, but when it comes to football I’m pretty much just a a beer-swilling fan like everyone else.

by cwyers on Sep 14, 2008 1:06 PM CDT up reply actions

Because of the

nature of football being the ultimate team sport, it’s tough to really use advanced stats for individual performances. Baseball is almost entirely an individual sport, so BP is easier to understand/use than the stuff at FO and in FP.

by dakoose on Sep 14, 2008 1:08 PM CDT up reply actions

That's definately part of it.

The other half of it is data availability. Football data isn’t as readily available to researchers as baseball data, where we have Retrosheet and the Baseball Databank. FO compiles their own, proprietary dataset, I think.

It's not just Delhomme that is a pussy.

The entire team seems to hound the refs relentlessly.

I benched Romo on my fantasy team for the week and put in Rogers

very risky, but my reasoning is simple… Romo is playing Phily and he hasnt done well against them and they also have a great defense, and Rogers is playing Detroit, and we all know how bad they look

Starting to love that decision.

hahahaha

I picked him up in a trade. The guy traded me Rogers cuz he had Brady. I think he’s regretting that decision.

I've been lucky this year. Last year I had 3-4 starters out the first half of the year.

This year LT fell to me at 3. Then I got LJ and Braylon, then made a trade to get Lynch. This has been a lucky year. Got McNabb and Rodgers late.

10 team draft btw.

I have McNabb and Rodgers and considered the same.

I left McNabb in though because I thought it might be high scoring

We need to stop them here

Otherwise we have no momentum for the second half.

Hey people!

How’s it? 10-3? I have a lot of high school homework, so I may not be too active.

Remember when we were kids and we mixed sodas together and called them "suicides"? It was OK though, because Dr. Pepper was always there.

Can’t believe they actually kicked to him. Aikman is with Joe Buck.
