Uh, Trade for Jeff Garcia, NOW!

Not saying the guy is a worldbeater or even a top 15 quarterback at this point in his career, but he is still a serviceable starter who has a little mobility and probably a year or two left in him and according to PFT (i know, terrible to quote them since i'm pretty sure they just make up most rumors, but whatever) the Bucs will take whatever they can get for him.

gruden says he is, garcia says he isn't

sprained ankle is the “official” injury that kept garcia out this week…garcia went on record saying he could have played and would have been fine. him and gruden are just at odds at this point.

as for quinn, will cost WAY more than Garcia who is an upcoming free agent following this season.

Why trade for him this year, then?

Why get a stop-gap for a lost year? THIS TEAM IS NOT WINNING THE SUPER BOWL! There’s no other reason to trade assets for a one-year rental—even if it’s an indirect trade of a 7th-round draft pick for a OT.

The Bears are too stubborn

to do that.

If we did, it would be to prep the offense for Stafford next year or Tebow the year after.

Not that we’ll lose enough to get Stafford this year, but we have a chance at Tebow.

Remember when we were kids and we mixed sodas together and called them "suicides"? It was OK though, because Dr. Pepper was always there.

why the hell

would we want tebow

by mike b on Sep 15, 2008 4:20 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

With Tebow we could run a triple option

With Forte, Hester and Tebow. Even Ron Turner couldn’t screw that up, oh wait….look who I am talking about.

Fire Ron Turner!!!
Fire Angelo!!

Counted Tebow twice. Nothing to see here.

Don't be a sore loser.

[Assuming you either wanted Tebow for a college team you like, or he beat your team]

He’s not gonna be running nearly as much this or next year, so he will be able to be more of a pure QB this year.

Right. Everyone from me on was being sarcastic.

Except, of course, for bs.sufu.sdfks.dkj12038aklfs.

tebow...

… will not be a good NFL QB.

I would LOVE Tebow @ U of Illinois

but guys like that don’t transfer well to the NFL, but i’d certainly love him on my favorite college team.

WHY? WHY? WHY?

That’s all I got to say.

I'm not going to even bother trying to update this sig everyday anymore... that's what the standings column on ESPN is for.

I fully approve of getting Garcia

The Bears have a good team, but once I saw them down late in the game sunday I realized its up to our offense… and we have no spark.. maybe that can be a spark, someone to score ATLEAST a touchdown or 2
