manning has had a lot of success
returning KOs, we’re probably better off putting him back there cuz teams will actually kick to him.
I have learned one thing this week
and that’s that RIB INJURIES ARE NOTHIN’ absolutely nothin’ everyone in WCG nation has experienced the rib injury. I bow at their feet. D Hester, suck it up – the legions here have done their job, do YOURS!
I'm not so mean. I wouldn't ever go out to hurt anybody deliberately - unless it was, you know, important, like a league game or something. - Dick Butkus
Why Not
Use him as a decoy on Offense too? Pump fake the ‘infamous hitch’ to him and give a short handoff to Forte up the guy, or a pump fake to him on a fade and go to a TE. The decoy on Offense would be just as useful.
that would require an OC who knows what the hell he is doing...
and we don’t have that.
if it’s bruised ribs he needs to be playing. if it is torn cartilage then i have no problem using him as a decoy, but i won’t expect anything out of him.
Problem with Decoy
It still exposes him, especially if he’s in on offense, to someone trying to get a shot on him in the chest area.

Sit him
I sure hope the Bears sit Hester this weekend. There’s no reason to play him. He doesn’t make a big enough impact as a receiver, and I’m more than happy with Danieal Manning returning kickoffs… as long as he holds onto the ball. The one area of concern is in punt returns. We don’t want Nathan Vasher exposing himself to injuries and I know that Earl Bennett had a bad case of the drops in training camp.
so if manning is fine at kick returns
and the only area of minor concern is punt returns, why the hell did we give Hester a gigantic contract?
seriously?
because theres a huge difference between “fine” and “devin hester”. He’s one of the best ever, if not THE BEST.

i'm just saying
if you feel comfortable with someone at a position, why throw huge bucks at another guy when there are obvious weaknesses (i.e. quarterback) that no one has any comfort level whatsoever in?
People, we aren't gonna win the Super Bowl.
Sorry to sound negative, but it’s true. Might as well try to keep Hester from dying by puncturing a lung.
Remember when we were kids and we mixed sodas together and called them "suicides"? It was OK though, because Dr. Pepper was always there.
