Garret Wolfe is killing us.

I counted three awful special teams plays by him.  He watched three guys go by him while on kick return.  He stopped and let his guy go by him as the left edge of the wal on another kick return after the half. And he had an awful punt coverage play where he didnt break down and ran right by the returner.

Lovie, fix this or get his lazy weak butt off of special teams!

gimmick

It was a gimmick play. I am not sure why people don’t get that.

Forte, Jones, or Peterson would have been able to do the same thing.

A 38 yard run on a fake punt has little relevance to a normal game situation.

At 5'7"...

…and whatever his weight is (160?) most of us could arm tackle him. So, no he’s not an NFL player. He’s a fast guy.

Besides the obvious - Go Irish.

Z. He doesn't need an exclamation point. He is one.

Open your eyes

Have you seen Darren Sproles, MJD, Dunn, or any other undersized back? There’s no reason why he can’t be out a few plays a game. Obviously the offense will have to make adjustments in their blocking scheme, but he’s got speed and it doesn’t matter how big you are if you can avoid defenders.

Oh yeah, I’m sure your ACL would have a say about your prospects at tackling Wolfe. That was pretty amusing.

except...

… Sprole, MJD, and Dunn are, you know, good.

well...

Turner hasn’t figured out a way to get him the ball. Please just try to emulate what those aforementioned do on the field, and we’ll see if he’s any good. You drafted him with the idea of he’d make some plays for you, but they seem reluctant to try.

seems to be the excuse for a lot of things
Turner hasn’t figured out a way to get him the ball

the offense isn’t good because turner is a moron, hester and wolfe aren’t good becase the aren’t used correctly… maybe the personnel just sucks.

personnel is also young

This is only Hester’s second full year as a receiver. To expect him to be anything more than an occasional or situational player is folly on our part. If you are going to take up a roster spot on Wolfe, then use him; otherwise, ditch him for a player we can use.

Exactly

Play him or cut him. It’s pointless to keep him on the roster just to take up space.

Maybe his time will come soon

JA seems to have given up on some high draft picks recently, maybe he is finally getting over the fact that he may have made some bad picks. For every Hester there will be 50 Wolfes, that is life in the NFL.

If we need help dire at any one position and you have a guy you can get and need the space, we won’t fault you, at least for long, if you drop a guy that touches the ball once a game.

He had

that great fake-punt run. I think he is a great option as a third string back.

if third string backs

never play, sure. other wise don’t see what he brings.

Garret Wolfe...is this a joke?

Seriously. I mean true, this guy sucks, but to single this guy out is kinda weird. He’s really irrelevant. Yeah, he could block better I guess, but special teams is not the problem. If anything, the penalties are what’s killin’ ’em on special teams.
