Forte Fatigue

Seeing how the Bears are running the offense through Forte, I'm beginning to get a little worried that he's going to hit that "rookie wall" a lot earlier than most other rookies.  I know he's the best thing we have going for us on offense right now, but how much longer can he keep it up?  Maybe they should try and work Kevin Jones in a little bit more.  I know this requires other people to step up and become a viable option on offense, so hopefully, (I can't believe I'm saying this) Brandon Llyod can do that.

And....

….his yards per carry, his yards per game, his longest rush in each game, have all declined. I don’t expect that to continue, but they are riding him toooooo hard. I’ve been saying this for awhile now.

I like that Jones

is getting in there a few carries, and would like to see him get a few more touches.
But I also think AP could come in and be more of a dual threat on some plays.

Perhaps on 3rd downs. I am surprised AP hasn’t gotten more time. Or Wolfe.
I still feel like the offense lets the game dictate the play calling rather than
to be aggressive with personnel. So far our way of tricking teams is to fake
the reverse to Davis or to give McKie a screen or carry. I’d like to see something
new this game.

I say this because I am not so much worried about a young, big guy like Forte getting tired. But I do feel that the one thing the offense is known for is its predictability.

If Forte is always in there it’s easier for defenses psychologically. They know he’s our go-to player. The more and more we depend on him without building up other
weapons the more defenses will start to only focus on him. We have to at least have five plays or so where the team intentionally goes against tendency.

Maybe even put Kevin Jones and Forte in at the same time. That would be super-sweet. KJ has enough thickness to play a little fullback. And he’d be a great distraction with Forte.
