Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Philadelphia Eagles @ Chicago Bears - Second Half Game Thread

The Good

- Our start to the game. Good D, no-huddle offense and Orton looked great.

- Kyle Orton. Three TD's, and he's been making the long throw. He only whiffed on a throw to Forte early on, but he's been a stud in the 1st half.

The Bad

- Charles Tillman. He needs to chill out and not make stupid mistakes.

- Poor blocking at times by the OL.

The Ugly

- John Madden and his undying love for Momma McNabb's food.

The 2nd Half Adjustments

Should prove to be interesting. Left some plays on the field on both sides of the ball. I think Vasher needs to get his shit together and they need to do away with jamming the receivers at the line. Forget all about the TE with Smith out and focus solely on the receivers. I like the blitzing schemes from the DB’s, but we need to get better on the coverage. More pressure on McNabb would help aid the need for spot on coverage as well; the littlest bit of pressure can ruin the timing on any throw. Here’s to cleaning up the coverage…

So yall said Muhammad sucked! Its not Grossmans fault! Muhammad is too old! While all the analyst blammed Rex, yall still blammed Muhammad. Well guess what boys? Moose is back with a real quarterback. And this week he led the NFL in receiving yards! That’s right… he took care of tha Bears, and now is the top receiver in tha league this week!

still think mendenhall is a good back

but forte has been a real nice surprise.

which we would’ve got someone besides williams though.

only the bears could blow

a tackle choice in the draft of the Offensive Tackle.

I mean. Really. A guy w/ back issues and we jump for him?

He makes me SO HAPPY

I still stick by the statement that this season we’ll be okay as long as we can average more than 3 yards a carry

if Eagles stop them

they’ll get about 35-40 seconds to score a TD by my calculations

god

4 turnovers and we are still in position to win this game. terrible game for philly. they definately played down to our level instead of making us play up to theirs.

It sure makes listening to the radio during the week suck less.

And if I watch the game without the thread I usually end up muttering to myself and my dog thinks I’m crazy.

GallopingGhost's Stat of the Night:

Brandon Lloyd and Brandon Marshall are tied for the NFL lead with 4 receptions of 20+ yards. And they say Orton can’t throw a long ball.

Bad news? Lloyd has a knee injury, that cannot be good. The other end of that stat too is that its more on Lloyd making the extra yardage than it is Orton heaving it that far…
