Colts Will Kick To Hester

Only in Chicago does the busniess of punts and kickoffs become a big issue.  Despite getting burned in the Super  Bowl by Devin Hester and having a questionable special teams, the Colts will at times kick to him.

'There are going to be times when you have to kick to him,'' Dungy said. ''And we're going to try to punt well and punt high and make him move around to catch it. We're going to try to make him move to catch the kickoff.

''We certainly don't want to kick it out of bounds on the kickoff, so there's going to be a chance he's going to get the ball. I don't think we're just going to kick it high and down the middle to the 1-yard line to him.''

The Bears need all the help they can get to win this game and Coach Dungy just gave us of a bit.  I don't know if this is being cocky or stupid.  In the two years Hester has played the Bears have showed no ability to take advantage of the field position he provides us.  The Colts have a strong defense, to put the ball in the hands of a guy who can change a game in 5 seconds doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Ummm...

“In the two years Hester has played the Bears have showed no ability to take advantage of the field position he provides us.”

I’ll respectfully submit that in 2006 No Hester = No Super Bowl Appearance.

Just sayin’.

Eh, this isn't Shanahan

They will kick but I but he gets one or two catchable kick offs and 1 or no fieldable punts. If he does get some punts it will be his catch it inside the 20, look for a seam, find no where, run around a bit and get tackled at the 15 or 20. They will kick deep and high to give the STs a chance to get down and force a fair catch. I hope that doesn’t happen but no way is it that promising. Sorry, I’m just saying.

I still don't believe it

I probably would too

The Bears aren’t good enough to take advantage of Hester’s skills. Even if he returns one, the Colts know they can still beat them with one hand behind their backs. If I were Dungy I’d rather try to pin them deep most of the time, and force the Bears offense to go the length of the field.
