yea...

Playing
He’s not listed on the injury report, so he should be starting.
When they boo you, you know they mean you. George Halas
This is going to be brutal
Sorry for “not being positive” but this team is going to be terrible. We need to get rid of the McCaskey family, look at the the Hawks after Wirtz passed
That's not being negative, that's being a realist
If only the McCaskey’s would go….
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!
Hell
2 of my friends/former roommates were nephews of Dollar Bill and even they are willing to admit he has a really negative impact on the Hawks
I'm pretty sure
that no one will argue the stupidity of the McCaskey’s or of Wirtz. And, my proof is exactly what you said: look at the Hawks now.
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!
Williams to PUP
We’ve got to move Williams to the PUP and create another roster spot for the next 6+ weeks. I think a player is not eligible to come off PUP earlier than 6 weeks, but I think you’re allowed to leave them on longer if necessary (like the DLD in baseball). Maybe someone can verify if you know.
I don’t know who would take the spot, but it seems silly to lose that spot every week. I know that only 48 out of 53 are eligible to enter any given game, but it’s still a man down against the 53.
When they boo you, you know they mean you. George Halas
i don't like that they're not putting him on IR
rushing him back from surgery is not how you should treat your tackle-of-the-future.

Go Bears!
While I’m not predicting a Bears’ win in order not to jinx them, I’m still hoping for a much better showing than we’ve been seeing.
It should be interesting to see how Manning does – if he’s rusty at all and if the loss of Saturday has an effect.
On a related note, how awesome was Brady going down in the 1st quarter today?
/native new englander who has to hear about the pats’ wicked awesomeness all the time
Insert clever and witty remark slash pun here!
Tom Brady is done for the year
according to Yahoo Sports.
Not sure if this link will work
given how crappy Yahoo makes URL’s, but here you go:
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;ylt=AgroJJhXBu7.5ktyZ2CdEBDubYF?slug=ms-bradyoutforyear090708&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
If that doesn’t work, just go to sports.yahoo.com and it should be the main story.
Says he tore his ACL. Guess he’ll be making a visit to Dr. Andrews soon.
Peter King was on
he’s hearing that its serious & season ending.

Wait until tomorrow
While I think you might be right, we have to wait for the official word after the MRI.
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!
aach! They said on NBC
…that Brady was threatened for the season. I actually would like him to recover soon so we can have good, honest, top notch football between colts & pats. Colts will still win!
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.
according to yahoo
he’s out for the season
that really sucks for football
Not really.
It will force the media to actually go cover someone else, giving higher profiles and noticeability to other players.
/sarcasm
just what we need
more favre rhetoric.

The critical thing to understand is that major-league pitchers don't appear to have the ability to prevent hits on balls in play. There are many possible reasons why this is the case, and I don't really have a concrete idea as to why it is.
But the one thing I do know is that it is the case.

If our D plays like they did and the O does their usual thing.
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!
No offense...
…but this is pretty much what mikeb and I have been saying all along. This isn’t baseball. Defense/pitching/special teams can’t just shut every team down. The longer they’re out there, the more tired they’ll get. That leads to bad play, and, unfortunately, injuries. Football isn’t quite the vacuum that baseball is.
None taken
I agree with that. My point with the Morrissey article is that he’s always consistently negative. I know you don’t have access to it every day, but it gets old hearing “Woe is the Bears” even when we weren’t bad.
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!
Gotcha.
Yeah, I don’t read it. I’d suggest you don’t either. I know it’s an irresistible urge, but you can do it!!!!
Not planning on it anymore
The post on the front page was the snapping point. lol

And no, I don't expect the offense to do that every time.
Nor am I using that, the first offensive series, for validation. Just restating my case.

"Speaking" of Brady being hurt....
…Matt Cassell is a free agent after this year. No way New England keeps him (they drafted someone to be Brady’s backup this year). The Bears might get a good, extended look at him. At least makes him a legitimate FA option.
But, if we don't have a good season,
why wouldn’t we want to go after a Tebow or a Stafford?
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!

You would have to wait another season for Tebow.
No f’n way that he leaves early.
Remember when we were kids and we mixed sodas together and called them "suicides"? It was OK though, because Dr. Pepper was always there.
Why not? His draft stock won't go that much higher. He's already a high first rounder.
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!
List of reasons:
1. Both parents went to UF, so he didn’t choose to go there just for football
2. He has already said his first love is Jesus, not football.
3. He still needs to prove that he can throw from the pocket. That’s gonna take more than one season.
Remember when we were kids and we mixed sodas together and called them "suicides"? It was OK though, because Dr. Pepper was always there.
I wonder if Tebow
will translate into a good pro with the way he plays in college

Wasn’t that his natural position?
Remember when we were kids and we mixed sodas together and called them "suicides"? It was OK though, because Dr. Pepper was always there.
