This is going to be brutal

Sorry for “not being positive” but this team is going to be terrible. We need to get rid of the McCaskey family, look at the the Hawks after Wirtz passed

I'm pretty sure

that no one will argue the stupidity of the McCaskey’s or of Wirtz. And, my proof is exactly what you said: look at the Hawks now.

Williams to PUP

We’ve got to move Williams to the PUP and create another roster spot for the next 6+ weeks. I think a player is not eligible to come off PUP earlier than 6 weeks, but I think you’re allowed to leave them on longer if necessary (like the DLD in baseball). Maybe someone can verify if you know.

I don’t know who would take the spot, but it seems silly to lose that spot every week. I know that only 48 out of 53 are eligible to enter any given game, but it’s still a man down against the 53.

When they boo you, you know they mean you. George Halas

Go Bears!

While I’m not predicting a Bears’ win in order not to jinx them, I’m still hoping for a much better showing than we’ve been seeing.

It should be interesting to see how Manning does – if he’s rusty at all and if the loss of Saturday has an effect.

On a related note, how awesome was Brady going down in the 1st quarter today?

If that doesn’t work, just go to sports.yahoo.com and it should be the main story.

Let's go Bears!

The critical thing to understand is that major-league pitchers don't appear to have the ability to prevent hits on balls in play. There are many possible reasons why this is the case, and I don't really have a concrete idea as to why it is.

But the one thing I do know is that it is the case.

No offense...

…but this is pretty much what mikeb and I have been saying all along. This isn’t baseball. Defense/pitching/special teams can’t just shut every team down. The longer they’re out there, the more tired they’ll get. That leads to bad play, and, unfortunately, injuries. Football isn’t quite the vacuum that baseball is.

…Matt Cassell is a free agent after this year. No way New England keeps him (they drafted someone to be Brady’s backup this year). The Bears might get a good, extended look at him. At least makes him a legitimate FA option.

List of reasons:

1. Both parents went to UF, so he didn’t choose to go there just for football
2. He has already said his first love is Jesus, not football.
3. He still needs to prove that he can throw from the pocket. That’s gonna take more than one season.

I'd rather get a stud offensive lineman or WR than either of those.

That is, if Cassell shows he has the potential to be… a Top 10-12 QB. He is only 26.

Seriously

The critical thing to understand is that major-league pitchers don't appear to have the ability to prevent hits on balls in play. There are many possible reasons why this is the case, and I don't really have a concrete idea as to why it is.

But the one thing I do know is that it is the case.

Daniel Manning looked way too excited

The critical thing to understand is that major-league pitchers don't appear to have the ability to prevent hits on balls in play. There are many possible reasons why this is the case, and I don't really have a concrete idea as to why it is.

But the one thing I do know is that it is the case.

We need to stop running with Forte

Ron,

I know it’s a long shot, but could you maybe do something that doesn’t involve Forte? We do have Greg Olsen. Get back to me.
