My predictions:

Steelers. Darren Sproles, meet Troy Polamalu .

Eagles. This year’s “Don’t Stop Believin” team.

I think...

The two home teams take the games today: Steelers and Giants.

Did you hear the announcers during the Arizona game last night?

The home team was like 1-5 or something outrageous like.

Well considering I dropped the ball on both picks yesterday, I'm gonna try to go the lions route!

So…go eagles and chargers!

Erm, well if we are going to call Milton Bradley nicknames, mine is Fischer Price: yes, you heard it here first..

Still early enough in Game 1, methinks,

for me to provide a semi-legit prediction. Giants and Steelers to win by comfortable margins..

I'm not so mean. I wouldn't ever go out to hurt anybody deliberately - unless it was, you know, important, like a league game or something. - Dick Butkus

lol, cheater!

I’ll wait until the 2 minute warning to re-do mine.

That's why I had to be dramatic

and say they’d win by ‘comfortable’ margins! See – see how much of a risk-taker I am?

haha

Does 1 count as comfortable?

Well, one team won comfortably,

so at least one of my words was predictively correct! Yah me!

I didn’t pick one playoff game correctly so far this weekend. If the Steelers are reading WCG, they’ve got to be REALLY worried right about now!

meh, I am 0 for 3 in picks!!

This is setting up to be one of the least cared for Superbowls since the Tampa-Oakland one..

well

the worst part of this nfc championship is tha it gives more ammo to the sunny side up, reality lacking, pinning all their hopes on the phrase “you just have to get in” crowd.

by mike b on Jan 11, 2009 3:23 PM CST reply actions

Well, to be fair...

…it proves their point. When a team sucks, I realize a team sucks, but teams can suck their way pretty far.

You really do just have to get in. If you get in, and play well, you get to go the championship game. I’m not sure how this is bad, it means that parity is coming back to the NFL. Few things about this season made me happier than the Patriots not making it, even with an 11-5, and you know why? They had their shot, they had games they should’ve won and they didn’t step up. That’s how it goes.

the problem

is that people will buy into the bullshit lovie and co spout that this team is close. everyone in the world knows that “anything can happen” instead of relying on that, how about building a good team.

they are as close as every other team that would need a miracle or an incredible turn around to go all the way.

Eagles-Arizona NFC Champs

exciting, NOT! makes me sick, feel like we could have beaten the Eagles

yeah I remember that

I think we could have handled them in Chicago during the playoffs. Oh well…

I've only correctely picked ONE game this postseason

and that was Philly vs. Minnesota. Other than that, I have been completely wrong!

looks like I might get one pick right this weekend

I guess for the remainder of the playoffs I am a Steelers fan

I've decided to be an NFC fan.

It took me a bit, but here’s why:

1. I hate the Steelers. Especially their fans. There’s this group of Steeler fans who go to the bar I go to every week who make me wonder if murder isn’t a decent solution in extreme cases.

2. I have a friend who’s a Ravens fan, and he talks trash better than anyone I know.

3. Donovan McNabb deserves a super bowl. From what I know and have seen, he works hard, battles back from injury, puts up with quite possibly the most obnoxious fan base ever, and is still standing.

4. Larry Fitzgerald is scary talented, and scary talented should get to fight for championships. Though I’m not a big Warner fan, he knows where to put the ball most time and gets big time effort out of big time receivers.

5. I hate the Steelers.

I'm going for the Steelers

mostly because I already have a bulk of black/gold clothes.

And I have a huge crush on Ben Rothelisberger.
