Howdy Neighbors, Im The FNG.

The pleasure is all mine I must say. This WCG community of Bear fans has been very therapeutic and instrumental toward the restoration of my sanity, really. It has been about three weeks since I first began interacting with you all and I now believe I am ready to come to terms with our season being over once again. I couldn't have done it with out you all. Thank you!

I am a very simple minded man who believes that the only good things in my life are my family and my Bears. In the past I have dreaded the off season, I mean 8 months with out my team. Like a dope fiend without a fix I would be dying for just a tidbit of information about the Bears. But now that I have found the WCG I am not afraid. Thank you for providing me with the strength to continue.

It is always at the end of seasons like this that my mind begins to stray. I ask myself, "Is it worth it?", "Does anyone even care?", "The players, the coaches, the owners, do they even care?" or are they just happy that the season is over so they can enjoy their multi million dollar salaries. However, because of you guys I know that that is just a lie from the enemy. He tells me that the Bears are a burden, he is a liar. These Bears of mine are a privilege. But anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself. Thank you.

Glad we could help.

The hell is going on here?

The fanpost list used to be just a “hey did you see this happened” thing… why in the world are all these guys feeling the need to introduce themselves and blather?

Weird. Can we skip the rest of the playoffs and go back to training camp? Maybe then we can talk football without the TL;DR stuff.

apparently

your agreement isn’t enough for you to get sexist remarks back.

We, The Chicago Bear People...

Should encourage not discourage, build up not tear down, stand with and not against our fellow followers. Shouldn’t we be reaching out to and supporting one another? I will always stand side by side with a man/woman who dons the blue & orange. I may have never formally met them but I have went to battle with them. They are my brothers and my sisters. We have shared great victories and suffered defeat, together. I believe that the people of the Chicago Bears are special and unique people. People of strength and character with undeniable loyalty to our team and to one another. Never, will I turn a cold shoulder to one of my own. If your mother or father, sister or brother, son or daughter were starving to death would you not feed them? If they were being attacked would you not come to their rescue? Here we have a man that reaches out to his own people, like a soldier who in a war was separated from the troop but found them again. Eager to fight with them once again and not on his own. Someone once said, “There is no greater love than this, That a man would lay down his own life for his friend.”

Yesterday, I left a very rude comment in response to “The hell is going on here?”. Unfortunately it was deleted. I guess it was a little to rough. But she had it coming. Kingdom Come! Hail to the Bears!

Seriously,

dude what are you doing? Are you trying to write a reader manifesto or something? I’m not sure if I’m supposed to say Amen or sign on a dotted line somewhere.

FYI: I delete a comment obviously saying I was not ok with it, so you reiterate it with “she had it coming”. She is a valued reader as is everybody and I expect respect to be given to each and every reader. The comment made was inappropriate and she did not have it coming.

"The hell is going on here"...

Was inappropriate and rude and totally lacking respect. I admit my response was harsh, but how would you feel? Here I am new to this site knowing that many of you have been here for years and I notice others introducing themselves so I think it is the appropriate thing to do. If she is o.k. with being as rude and inappropriate and disrespectful as she was than I say she had it coming. Look, I am aware that I get a little excited and carried away in my writing but it is all in good nature and respectful. If I respond to someone as she responded to me, I should expect a reaction. And I gave her my reaction. The bottom line is that I was just being friendly with my post and giving my thoughts on how I felt that our season was over. She was very rude and I just took it a step further. Can’t I plead for leniency or something?

I asked what the hell was going on so that means YOU

should be allowed to threaten physical harm to me and make sexist comments about me? Thats not a logical response. Are you pissed off that me, a girl, questioned WHY you (and all the noobs) have felt the need to make whole threads to introduce yourselves? I mean, I get it, its the off season and with FA/draft really far away there isn’t a whole LOT of football to talk… but why the religiosity of it all is beyond me.

Oh, and btw: this is football blog. not a war. perspective, please.

+1 to you cubbiegirl.

Even with just half-sightedness, you are more insightful than many on this site.

I give you even more props for being an SEC fan…

But also take away a little bit cause you ain’t a ChiSox fan… lol j/k.

And I have to agree, making an entie fan post to introduce oneself is a tad bit overzealous.

Lighten up, have sense of humor

What pissed me off was how you could be so rude. What is there so much news being posted in the off season that there is no room for someone to introduce themselves? What do you care? Relax, look my writings are not expected to be taken in a literal sense and most people understand that. Believe it or not, some people actually get a kick out of what I write. Just because you “don’t get it”, and think that you can be so rude and then whine when I react “inappropriately”, “Oh’ he threatened me with physical harm”. C’mon, seriously. I already admitted that my response was harsh, I have avoided an apology because I am prideful but here you go, my reaction was out of line and I am sorry. But you have to admit, if we put the bitterness aside, it was pretty damn funny!

I hesitated to jump in here, because this needs to just go away....

But it wasn’t funny… I read your remarks, and asked for them to be removed because it was completely disrespectful… definately not something that should be taken as a joke.

But let this be done with…no one has asked for an apology, so your decision to not give one is fine.

This is an awesome website, and we have a great group of folks that participate here. We will keep it that way. Provide your insight and opinions on the game… but keep it civil and respectful.

Besides, it won’t take you long to realize that cubbiegirl provides some pretty insightful stuff of her own… and has definately earned the respect of everyone here that is familiar with her opinions!

I agree...

That this is an awesome site with good people, and I have provided insight and opinions on the game several times. I never said cubbiegirl doesn’t provide insightful opinions. I said she was rude with how she responded to a new comer. And I never decided not to give an apology, I did give an apology. And admitted I was out of line. Let me guess, you don’t think see was rude either, right?

Sorry, but "I was out of line & she had it coming"

does not classify as an apology in my book.

Oh and use the reply button. It keeps everything in line.
